The Grand Bazaar İstanbul!
One of the largest and oldest covered market in the world! 61 covered streets 😱 From gorgeous turkish rugs, to really yellow gold jewelry, to bras and underwear!! I have never seen so many underwear in my life! Entire streets of it! 😳😮
Oh and everything fake brand name! Prada, LV, Armani, North Face!
I lasted about 30 minutes, get me out if this madness 😂😬😂😬
But it has to be seen if you are in İstanbul 🇹🇷

This is the moment a lot of my followers have been waiting for… My personal review of MSC Cruise lines !
Ship MSC Splendida
First, the embarcation:
We boarded in Triesta, Italy, and the embarcation process is best discribed as organized. Chaos!
It took several hours, long line ups outside the cruise ship on the dock. According to other passengers, there were better embarcation process in other ports with MSC.
Guests:
Lots of families, guests of all ages…babies to grandparents!
Mostly French, Italian, Spanish and Orientals…few North Americans
We spoke with parents and the lower cost of MSC cruises appeals to them if they have multiple family members
Cabins:
We took the last cabin on the sailing, suite 10006. Very spacious, very comfortable… Windows floor to ceiling and the entire front of the cabin, giving us beautiful views of the bow! Comfortable bed and bedding, pillows!
Bathroom toiletries:
There was shampoo and conditioner supplied in our suite, but please bring your own, the shampoo might as well be dish soap 😬 in my opinion!
Bring your body lotion too, there was none in our suite
Staff:
Pleasant, curteous, helpful.
Internet:
If you don’t buy the internet package which is very good, there is some complementary wifi in bars and restaurants.
Acivities:
Our first cruise without a cruise director 😬 It’s probably cost saving? And if there was one, we never saw or heard of them!
There were activities at the main pool.
There is 1 large pool with hot tubs in a large indoor salarium, 1 good size pool mid ship with splah areas and areas for kids, and another pool in the back with more hot tubs, where it was quieter
The music was always pleasant, mostly english…no rap yay 😁
There are several bars and all beautiful and colourful…very charming venues
A big theatre, with nightly shows. Shows were not of other cruise line standards…we did not bother
Food:
MSC is not known for its culinary expertise! And we can confirm that 😁
The food is okay to good (sometimes)… The food was not “wow” or amazing or great but, we did not starve! There is always pasta, bread, a salad bar, therefore enough food to satisfy your hunger! Just nothing fancy.
Pizza place was good 🍕
If you want amazing food, opt for Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Holland America…I haven’t tried Princess yet…
We almost requested to speak with the Italian chef on board 😂
Interestingly, the european guests seemed to not mind the food 🤷♀️
Bottom line, do I recommend MSC? YES, and I would go on MSC again…their prices are good but you get what you pay for!
We chose our cruise because of the itinerary…and it did not disappoint
If you can afford Celebrity or other cruise lines, you will have a wonderful culinary experience that you will not get on MSC👩🍳

The venues and bars on this ship are very colourful and pretty!
There is a purple bar, a green bar, a pink one, a blue one and I am sure there are some spaces we haven’t seen yet!

Kusadasi is a little Turkish port with a small beach, shops and restaurants!
You can also go to the Ancient City of Ephesus, which we did not do!
We just wandered around the port and went for a little dip at the beach!

Today we went to Olympia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
The Olympic Games took place here every four years from 776 BC to 393 AD.
The Olympic Torch is light here and taken to the city hosting the Olympics…Paris this year!
It was so cool to visit! So much history! 🇬🇷

Gala night!
A lot of people ask about dress code on cruises…this is it for us…a few people with toxedos and suits and evening gowns…but most people were wearing a dress for women and shirts and jeans for men!

We booked a cruise 3 days ago (which I don’t recommend if coming from Canada)…but we did because of the itinerary!
And also because I sell MSC but never experienced it myself…I will give a review at the end…stay tuned!
We took the last cabin on the ship…not too shabby…has a walk in closet!
