Yesterday I arrived to Santiago de Compostela, Spain for the 2nd time in my life. I’m not religious but I enjoy this pilgrimage so much I had to do at least a small part of it again. This time I only walk 120 miles in 8 days. But I’m those 8 days I saw so many different things, even though it was the same route I took last time. And again I was blessed to meet amazing people along the way, specially two guys Guille and that made the last 6 days very memorable. Walking the Camino is challenging to the body and the mind. I would walk 6-8 hours daily something starting before 6am in total darkness. Which was my favorite because i enjoyed the total silence from humans, at times nature at that time can be scary but absolutely beautiful, plus I haven’t seen so many stars in my life! I’m not only a nomad for life, but I am also a PEREGRINA for life. I can’t wait to plan my next Camino de Santiago Route!

I had the most amazing day with my SOUL sister .erika.katano. We first saw an interview “career perspective” with actor Diego Luna at the SAG building, took a stroll around the Le Brea pits LACMA and then ate some amazing crab legs with her lovely daughter Viv. I love you in my life Erika!

I recently visited ATLANTA, 10 years after my last visit and it was a very emotional visit, emotional in a good way. I forgot how much I love that place and I'm very much considering moving back if I get that right job opportunity. Seeing some of my old friends and meeting new ones was the icing on the cake. Thank you to all that were available to meet and reconnect and thank you to the ones who hosted me at their home. I look forward to coming back sooner than later.

This is record for me 340 pages in 5 days! Woohoo!

I'm not Mexican but I can totally relate to Julia the main character of this book. From her struggles as a Latina teenager, with an overbearing mom, to even sent back home (gotta read it to know what I mean) to understanding why people behave the way they do.

Yesterday I was on a set that wasn't SUPERSTORE and I DIDN'T LIKE IT one bit. Tomorrow it's exactly 7 days since SUPERSTORE wrapped its final season and it's just hitting me, it's actually REALLY over.
I remember my first day as a customer on the set of SUPERSTORE like it was yesterday and I remember just wishing to be an EMPLOYEE. Because for me playing the role of an BG employee would give me some kind of “job security”, if you can say that in our industry. A few months later on the last episode of Season 1, SURPRISE SURPRISE the UNIVERSE worked it’s magic and gave it to me and I was chosen to become an employee, ask and you shall receive, right?
I'll always remember that day (thank you universe) 5 1/2 years later I can honestly say that has been some of the most exciting years in my life.

From babies being born from the production, cast, crew and even BG team (anyone has count?)

To hospital runs (there were many of those, on the set and even on the field)

To loosing lovely Linda Porter aka Myrtle R.I.P who made me cry of happiness every time I saw her beautiful face and who always inspired me to be a better human.

To amazing delicious catered food (not this season unfortunately) that kept me at a “healthy” weight.

To super fun Halloween, Christmas Karaoke and Wrap parties.

To even learn how to play softball on the best team ever. Even if I missed hitting the ball half the time (maybe more than half) and we only won 1 game. But when I did hit that ball and we did win that game, it was the best time ever!

and

To staying young by laughing my ass off everyday, because we had the best writers and Improv actors as part of our cast.
..Oh and to perfecting my "Jo's Colombian Expresso"

Working on this show not only inspired me toward the next step in my career but most importantly it gave me a big new family, a family that I terribly miss already. I know there'll be exciting new adventures to come but it's hard to say ADIOS to this amazing chapter of my life. Thank you again to you ALL that were part of it. I really can’t say goodbye so for now I'll just say SEE YOU LATER!

For all you SUPERSTORE fan friends. Forgot to announce that Superstore is back filming Season 6 on the Universal Studios Lot. We started last Tuesday Sep 8th and tonight we are in the back lot finishing up the week. The sky is clear and we were able to see Jupiter and Saturn shining in the sky. So I'm here on the set of working as a background actor and reading by on my down time. If you are wondering why I'm dressed like a bull, is NOT because it has to do with the episode we are filming but because the crew likes to be festive on Fridays. So today is and of course I chose to partake.
It's privilege being part of this amazing show on a regular basis for the last 4 seasons, it's truly a big happy family.

I DO want to give a Shout out to Lewis for his amazing and vulnerable book, its really writen for men, but women can learn a thing or 2 about men as well.
I originally bought this book for a Male friend but wanted to read it before I give it to him, hehe :)
I hear so much about it on podcast, I had to read it first.

I am not the complainer type, but WTF in Huntington Beach...wanna hurt my tonguie with your metal in my food. I almost didnt say anything but, why the Fudge NO...I could've choked on this thing. They took a report, refunded my money, insisted on replacing the food and said someone will contact me. I havent had in a long time because of all the bad rap its gotten in a long time. Im very disappointed. is a huge disappointment
