Our BDM's that were on the river cruise with us had mentioned there's still some space left for the Christmas markets on the Rhine!
I did the Christmas Market on the Danube one year and wow it is totally amazing, the snow is lightly falling down all the homes along the river are lit up and twinkling and then every evening you get to go into the Christmas markets which were lit up with lights and stalls and roasted chestnuts, hot Glue Vine and oodles and oodles of Christmas decorations to choose from.
They generally run from approximately the 24th of November right up until about the 15th of December and there certainly are some excellent rates with Avalon waterways!

In the amazing architectural city of Rotterdam you will see some very interesting structures. All the other cities we saw were 18th century buildings etc but in 1944 the Germans decided they wanted that Rotterdamn port .. so they bombed the city to the ground and then took over so that's why this city is all new build from then onwards.

Our Morning Grafitti tour in Ghent!
We sailed from the Netherlands overnight , almost in Ocean waters ( actually an arm of the Rhine)but a mix of salt & canal water. And this morning we are now in Belgium.!
There were 3 tours offered here- Biking, a City Walking tour and the Discover one I took - Grafitti Tour of Ghent - the city of Grafitti, both freehand & Commissioned
