A little bit about wonderful (or full of wonders) gastronomy of Hungary. For a long time I’ve come across the fact that everyone who first opens the menu of a traditional Hungarian tavern (in the original: “kocsma”) start to laugh out loud or look at the pages with the widest eyes👀...
So, I decided to make my top 5 of the strangest Hungarian dishes:
1. “Uborka Saláta” Cucumber Salad. Ingredients: cucumbers, salt, black, sugar ... Sugar !!! Why???
2. “Gyümölcs leves” Fruit soup... Compote mixed with sour cream!!!
3. “Túrós tészta" Pasta with cottage cheese ... Sweet or salty, with added sour cream or bacon - whatever you wish)))
4. “Bor leves” Wine soup... Guys, why so cruel to my beloved🍷 ???
5. “Lángos” Langos is the most famous local street food. A fried piece of dough with sour cream, cheese, onions, garlic, sausages or just jam, which simply sprinkled on top... Well, sit there stuffing those stupid pies??? Just waste of time... 😅😂

Just opened one more bottle of my beloved Juhfark - one of the most rare grape variety in the world.
This unique and rare Hungarian grape gets its name, Lämmerschwanz is the direct translation in German, from the shape of its tightly-packed long cylindrical bunches of small berries, which curve over at the tip, resembling a sheeps’ tail( “juhfark” in Hungarian)
It can be found only in one region of the country - Somló.
Believed to cure a whole variety of ills, including anemia, kidney and liver problems, and digestive disorders this wine was presented on the shelves of ancient pharmacies.
In the same time being beloved wine of Habsburg and Queen Victoria who ordered this wine on a regular basis, it was also said to preserve masculinity thanks to its ‘masculine’ style. Apparently, aristocrats needed Vi**ra badly😆
Nowadays, producers indicate a suggested daily amount of wine consumption...
And it again proves: it is a medicine:)
So, I’m off to take my dose!

Так выглядят все самые ценные памятники Будапешта зимой.
Сезон распаковки 📦✂️начинается с первыми тёплыми днями в марте.

На фото: бережливо обёрнута венгерская феминистка, борец за права женщин Вереш Пальне(жена Вереша Пала в дословном переводе, а при рождении Хермин Беницки).
В октябре прошлого года исполнилось 150 лет с тех пор, как она основала первую в Венгрии школу для девочек.
Жажда знаний привела 14 венгерских девчонок в класс 17 октября 1869.
Но до финального экзамена дошли только 7 из них... Родители остальных посчитали, что знания только помешают быть прилежной женой и добросовестной послушной хозяйкой для своего господина...🤓🤪
