I met John and his wife when their daughter decided to do a destination wedding and I was assigned as their destination wedding specialist. Her wedding was scheduled in the Dominican Republic in 2020. The pandemic was a challenge but we worked through it together and she eventually had the wedding she hoped for.

🚢 In February, I had the pleasure of assisting this family with a cruise request to celebrate Rosemary’s 70th Birthday 🥳

They sailed on the Carnival Freedom out of Port Canaveral on an Eastern Caribbean cruise.

🐢Today I watched baby sea turtles get released from the Sandos Finisterra Resort.
This is my second ever encounter with baby sea turtles. Today I also I learned that only 1 out of 1000 will grow to be an adult!
The guide made a line in the sand and asked us to stay on the other side of the line but to help her by pointing out if a turtle needed any assistance and also to try keeping birds away. Keep in mind that the beach here is not safe for swimming and the currents are very strong and dangerous. This guide was almost swept away into the ocean trying to help these little guys!
I heard her say the organization she is with has saved about 6000 turtles a year.
One of these little guys didn’t make it to the ocean because a seagull swooped in and snatched it up! 😢
I know it’s a long video but it’s worth watching to the end.

We have also been able to do some whale watching!!
It’s not a beach you can safely swim from because the currents are very strong, the beach is very steep and there are many dangerous ripe tides.
