It's official - Vault Beach really is a hidden gem, named by The Times as one of the UK's seven best secret beaches - big on head space, low on tourists. Find it a 20 minute walk from the cottage. Thank you Coast Bar and Grill for sharing ☀️

We have some last-minute availability for next week for a short or long stay. £1,360 for one week (usually £1,640), but shorter stays available too :)

Our cottage is a 3 min walk from dog-friendly Gorran Haven beach, has glorious views, parking and toys/kit for babies and kids.

The village is made up of a cluster of fishermen's cottages around the beach and has a friendly village shop, a tented bar for beach beers, the best fish and chip shop in the world and a beach-side cafe!

Mevagissy is a 10-minute drive away with more pubs, restaurants and shops.

We love Gorran Haven beach where you’ll find quay jumping at high tide, kayaks and rocks to climb, but there are also more secluded beaches a short walk or drive away like Vault and Hemmick – also gorgeous.

Thank you to Alistair for another lovely review - so grateful to all our fantastic guests for coming to visit - please come again soon 🤩

In a way I don't want to write a review for this cottage as I want to keep it a secret so we can go whenever we like! In short, we loved this place so much and it was just perfect for us. Everything is well looked after by Jessica and she is a great host. Lots of the appliances and fittings are brand new and everything you could want is there including a huge amount for babies and young children including high chairs, toilet seats, etc. as well as a large amount of high quality toys which made our stay a lot easier with small children and newborns. It is such a short distance to the beach, meaning we could go back 'home' whenever to clean up or feed the babies which is really invaluable. I think it would be almost impossible to find a cottage which suited our young family's needs more than Coastguard Cottage. It would also be a great place for those without kids as so close to the coastal path and amazing local beaches which we couldn't check out this time. Thanks for a superb stay!

An absolute gem of a cottage! My dad and I stayed here for a week and we were beyond happy with everything. After long days exploring the Cornish coast, we really looked forward to opening the door to such a luxurious and tastefully decorated yet warm and welcoming 'home away from home'. The views from every window were magnificent, waking up to sea views everyday was such a treat. The property was very comfortable with all of the home comforts you would hope for and more! Jessica and her family were fantastic hosts, incredibly helpful, responsive and friendly. Thank you for everything and we will be recommending and returning!

Absolutely fabulous property. Location is amazing, only 2 minutes walk from the beach, the coast path and the local shop. The view is beautiful. The photos do not do the property justice, spotlessly clean, modern and with all the amenities you could want. Host was very helpful and flexible. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Super super chuffed with our first review 😍

A proper little gem in Cornwall! This cottage has to be one of the best we've ever stayed in , fully equipped and very comfortable, amazing responsive hosts , set in a superb setting overlooking the harbour with fantastic views and surrounded by wildlife, wrens and robins visited us daily Aswell as spotting dolphins in the bay! Lots of magic walks especially the walk to the dodman point from the village , gorran has a great little shop /bakery that's only a short walk aswell as a good little chip shop it's a perfect place for a cornish getaway
