Planeta, the new travel recommendation engine, is set to revolutionize the way travelers explore cities this summer. The app offers a personalized concierge experience that helps users find things they actually want to do, as well as create daily agendas based on their interests—even last minute.
Planeta is designed to immerse users in local culture, ease their decision fatigue, and guide them to lively neighborhoods that make the most of their free time. It focuses on providing service to inflight crews, although eventually it's expected to become a favorite tool for travelers of all types.
"Like most other people, we know flight crews hate researching and planning stuff to do on their trips, especially the last minute ones, Their time is precious, but their love of exploring is why they got into the business in the first place, and good times and fun activities are what we all remember from when we travel,” says founder and CEO Phillip Giarratano. “People want to just start enjoying their time off, without a bunch of hassle. And so Planeta was born,"
Phillip ignited his lifelong passion for immersive, sustainable travel when he backpacked for 6 months from Japan to Seattle the long way around—via Asia, Africa, Europe and the U.S. Now, with the global rebound from the Covid-19 pandemic, he and co-founder David Salguero want to help flight crews discover things that they love wherever they go, easily, super personalized, and off the beaten path.

The neon-lit sky of Las Vegas is one of the iconic sights of the 20th century. It is the peculiar mix of the burlesque, kitsch, and retro-modern that has marked the visual identity of an age.

Founded in 1996, is dedicated to collecting, preserving, studying and exhibiting iconic Las Vegas signs. Affectionately known as the “Boneyard” it is the final resting place of some notable pieces of Vegas history, like the original Aladdin’s lamp from the first version of Aladdin Casino, Binion’s Horseshoe, Silver Slipper, and the Golden Nugget.

There are over 150 decommissioned, non-restored neon signs at this location making it the perfect place to grab some instagram gold.

More popular in the United States than in Mexico, Cinco de Mayo has become associated with the celebration of Mexican-American culture. In Mexico, the commemoration of the battle continues to be mostly ceremonial, such as through military parades or battle reenactments.

The iconic silhouette of Diamond Head State Monument sits along the Honolulu skyline just beyond Waikiki. Known as Leahi (brow of the tuna) in Hawaiian, the crater was named Diamond Head by 19th century British sailors who thought they discovered diamonds on the crater's slopes.
