A land full of wonders and magic. It’s with great joy and excitement that I’m announcing my next Ashtanga Yoga Retreat in Iceland in 2024!

This epic Yoga Trip will take you to the heart of Iceland - Golden Circle!

September is well know to be one of the most amazing times of the year to visit Iceland as the weather still pleasant warm and the Northern Lights are dancing in the sky!!!
We will be staying at Héraðsskólinn Historic Guesthouse, located in the heart of the Golden Circle, only an hour away from Reykjavik. Héraðsskólinn is located in Laugarvatn, right next to the outstanding natural steam baths of Fontana, beautiful hiking trails and beautiful landscapes in every direction. The village of Laugarvatn sits on the shore of a charming lake by the same name. From here you can take a short trip to Thingvellir, Gullfoss, Geysir and many other natural wonders close by. Northern lights, geothermal baths, hiking, fishing, river rafting – just name it, you’ll find it here.

Traditional Ashtanga Classes will be conducted in the morning hours. During the day will be free time to explore the nature and late afternoon we will gather together for a workshop, meditation and sky gazing.

Package includes 7 yoga classes, 3 afternoon workshops, buffet breakfast and accommodation.

Buffet breakfast offers vegetarian, vegan and non vegetarian options.
There is a restaurant at our hotel open for lunch and dinner. There also other restaurants close by.

Transportation:
The past retreat we rented a car to transfer to and from the airport, as well to visit attractions in the Golden Circle. Cars fit up to 5 people and definitely is the most convenient and affordable way to travel in Iceland.

While many feel that the hot springs in Iceland are magical, the healing benefits are purely in the mineral-rich water itself.

Here are some of the minerals that are commonly found in hot springs:

Sulphur: Treats respiratory problems and dermatitis
Calcium: Boost blood circulation and increase oxygen flow
Potassium: Promotes skin health and helps remove toxins from the body
Magnesium: Helps to clear acne and blemishes and keep skin glowing
