When kayaking, you must follow the tour guide; it is risky to do by yourself without guidance or instruction. The tour guide will help you use the paddle and guide you to the safe areas. You should prepare suitable clothes: T-shirts and shorts or swimming suits summer; warm clothes in winter; wet shoes, a hat, and sunglasses etc. Also bring suncream, a dry bag for storing your phone or camera and some insect repellent.
4. VISIT A FLOATING VILLAGE
Floating villages are a common sight in Halong Bay. They are home to many Vietnamese who spend their lives on the sea. You will be captivated by the lives of the fishermen, whose lives revolve around the bounty of the sea, and they are a simple but happy people. A lot of junk boats and luxury cruisers will anchor near a floating market or village so that you can take the opportunity to visit. At a height of over 100m, the road to the top of mountain consists of many stone steps bordered by plants, trees and wildlife.
