Muling pinaalalahanan ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) na may karapatan sa 20 percent fare discount sa pampublikong transportasyon ang mga estudyante may pasok o wala basta’t may maipakitang student ID o certificate of enrollment.

Alinsunod sa Republic Act No. 11314 o ang Student Fare Discount Act, ang mga estudyante mula sa elementarya, high school, technical-vocational, at kolehiyo ay maaaring makakuha ng diskwento kahit na holiday, sem-break, Sabado, o Linggo.

Pinagtibay ng LTFRB ang batas para sa mga estudyanteng sasakay ng mga public utility buses (PUBs), public utility jeepneys (PUJs) modern o traditional, taxi, at iba pang pampublikong sasakyan.

Samantala, hindi kasama sa mga makakatanggap ng diskwento ang mga naka-enroll sa mga post-graduate degree courses at sa mga di-pormal na maikling kurso tulad ng dancing, swimming, music, driving at seminar-type na mga kurso.

Ayon sa LTFRB, ang mga tsuper o konduktor na lalabag sa nasabing batas ay papatawan ng mga kaparusahan na suspension ng driver’s license at kaukulang multa.

Pinapayuhan ang mga estudyante na pinagkaitan ng diskwento, na maaaring i-report sa Public Assistance and Complaints Desk o social media accounts ng LTFRB.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11313 OR THE SAFE SPACES ACT (BAWAL BASTOS LAW)
Ang Republic Act No. 11313 o ang Safe Spaces Act ay isang batas na nilikha upang mapalawak ang sakop ng Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995 (Republic Act No. 7877).
Ito ay pinirmahan ni Former President Rodrigo Duterte noong ika-17 ng Abril, 2019 at naisabatas noong ika-3 ng Agosto, 2019.
Nililinaw ng Safe Spaces Act ang gender-based harassment at ang mga uri ng akto na nagaganap sa mga pampublikong lugar at ang mga karampatang parusa ukol dito.
Alamin ang batas para lahat ligtas!
