Spring springing, cold nights frosty mornings sunny days but cold out of the sun. Birds busy. Foxes busy at night. Barn Owls still around. Little Owls about, heard more than seen.

Sunrise mid January, and moon in the west same morning. And snowdrops. So many anniversaries, not enough snowdrops.

December doggy best life. Sitings of barn owl, hen harrier, sparrowhawk taking a bird, and of course red deer. Visibility ranging from 50 to 500 yards.

This year's young Little Owls are out and about, parents guarding. Also young barn owl in cob barn. Can't put the new owl box up yet then!

Fledged blackbird been living outside the back door, dodged dog and Owls so far, getting better at flying, landing still a challenge!
