I’m craving a safari and I bet you’re craving a getaway too. We are working on some great getaways with to satisfy your cravings as soon as borders have reopened. In the meantime remember to stay safe. Don’t be like impalas... keep your distance. 😉 Wear a mask and stay safe.

Victoria Falls has an array of animals you can see as well as seeing the waterfalls. So keep your eyes peeled! This beautiful newborn baboon was spotted while on the trail back after seeing the falls. Most safaris through Botswana will take you to Victoria Falls so keep an eye out for amazing opportunities to come.

So precious to experience and see new life in the African bush. Let us take you to see new life in the bush. The best way to experience animals is in the wild. Hands off and just being in their presence from the safety of a game truck and at a safe distance. We are all practicing physical distancing right now so we will be well equipped when we get into the bush.

Seeing animals in the wild is always your best bet when travelling. You can even see iconic animals from the movies! Such as the yellow bill hornbill made famous by the movie The Lion King. 📷

Have you thought about the things you could do to help wildlife while in isolation and observing social distancing? Here are a couple of ideas for you. * Sponsor an animal who has been rescued - places such as Free the Bears, or the Vervet Monkey Foundation or the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. * Contact your local member of parliament to tell them about how stricter laws on animal imports and exports can help save animals
* Hop on to learn a new skill such as knitting for koala pouches for victims of the fires in Australia or * If you have the means to make a donation! * plan your next trip to see animals in the wild!

So many things you can do and this is just scratching the surface.

Africa will need your tourism to get back on its feet and what a better time than now to start planning that next adventure. Whether it's volunteering at that sanctuary you've heard so much about or joining that safari that your friends have talked about to you, we can help you with that. Lerato Wanderers aims to connect wanderers like you with ethical travel. Next year we aim to join you on that travel and host you around some incredible locations. Like this one pictured. Get out on a boat to the Okavango Delta. Experience the beauty of the Delta and its inhabitants on either side of you as you cruise down in a mokoro.
