Time to Head for the Hills cheese lovers!

Did you know that Woodside has a cheese
Cellar Door!!!?

Woodside Cheese Wrights was founded in 1994.

When Kris Lloyd took charge in 1999 she was given the challenge of running a cheese factory with zero cheesemaking experience.

Coming from a Greek family, she was taught a great respect for food & the challenge was on!
Kris began to tirelessly study cheese and the cheesemaking process.

Not only did she perfect the traditional methods of making cheeses by hand from France, Switzerland & Italy; She’s added her own unorthodox touch to reflect Australia…

One example being her Fresh Goat Chèvre encrusted with native Australian Green Ants known as Anthill. 🐜
It’s literally a Super Gold Medal Winner! 🏆

It’s time to explore South Australia, it’s your back yard that has so many special secrets and treasures to discover 😊❤️🐨

Last weekend I had a lovely day out in the Barossa Valley with some very special and beautiful women.
We ventured about the region tasting some of the oldest Shiraz in the world from Langmeil Wines & enjoyed wine that has been made with a personal touch & love such as Gumpara.
But one of the most beautiful part of the day was, after having a delicious lunch at Lamberts Estate, we simply relaxed & chatted at Menglers Hill lookout under an olive tree, enjoying the views & balmy afternoon, where bubbles and lots of laughter were shared. 💕🥂 🌳
This is what life is really about, the moments and memories made, were you connect deeply & share joy with people you care about.
Thank you Pratiksha Becker
Laura Mabikafola
Virginia Heywood &
Kellie Jones 😘

How to experience the Barossa Valley without going wine tasting…. Easy! Just ask Kate 😊

The Barossa offers so much more than its world renowned premium wines. 🍷
In fact, so much more that we couldn’t fit everything in just a day. But what we did do…

Started at the whispering wall where we also spotted many kangaroos, Maggie Beers & the Chocolate Company, followed by an amazing lunch at Harvest Kitchen. Enjoyed a walk around the Jacobs Creek bush trail & enjoyed the amazing views at not just Menglers Hill & sculpture park but the lesser known GBA Parsons lookout. ☀️(Beautiful!)
Then we ventured off to see the Herbig tree (A big river red said to be at least 500years old that was home to the Herbig family for two years) & to end the day seeing the big Rocking Horse on our way back home.

What a wonderful day of exploring we had💕
Thank you so much Sandy & Dan from Alaska, I had such a wonderful day sharing it with you.

Rolf Binder Wines in the Barossa Valley, is located on the beautiful Seppeltsfield Rd scenic drive. Established in 1955 by Rolf Heinrich Binder & his wife Franziska, he made the first Australian ‘Bikaver’ wine in 1967 aka Bulls Blood,
as a momento of his homeland Hungary.

Bulls Blood dates back to the 16th century when troops were given red wine during the Turkish invasion of Eger. Rumour spread that the red wine they drank was mixed with bulls blood which explains the strength & firm resistance of the Hungarian warriors at the time.

Still using traditional viticultural & winemaking techniques today & using primarily Estate grown fruit from their own vineyards across the Barossa, some vines planted in the 1880s, Rolf Binder certainly offers highly acclaimed premium wines to enjoy.

Last month I was honoured to share a wonderful day in McLaren Vale with some special friends, Helen & Deb, to celebrate Sonia’s 50th Birthday 💕🎂🎈
The shenanigans started at Mollydooker Wines, followed by the gorgeous Coriole Vineyards; then to find ourselves at the Wirra Wirra Vineyards & off into the Never Never to top it all off! 😄
We are so lucky & spoilt for choice here in Adelaide, South Australia, with the abundance of venues to choose from which offer such premium local produce to enjoy, different regions to explore & memories to make with the people you want to share life with.
Thank you so much Helen & Deb for such a great day! We were having so much fun that even I think the day went too quickly. So I am looking forward to sharing two days with you in the Clare Valley next year!!! 🎉
