What is the absolute best thing about Fall in your opinion? For me, it’s sending clients off to places that are just too beautiful in the Fall/spring.
Think of island hopping in Greece. Almafi Coast in Italy. Flying in a Hot Air Balloon in Cappadocia Turkey, hiking and exploring Dominia the Nature Island as well as the beautiful Azores Island.

But it’s not all about work; I also love also the crisp air, the beauty of the leaves and the sun glissing through the branches on the leaves. The smell of hot apple pie baking in the oven.

There’s something magical about this time of year!

If I could teleport myself anywhere to soak up those gorgeous leaves and cozy vibes, I’d pick Dreams Resort Corfu Greece because, let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to sip coffee from this beautiful island in Greece surrounded by beauty and history with amazing food.

Reminiscing about summer one last time, then it’s time to move on to all things fall!

This summer was full of some great moments — to visit some amazing places locally like Pelee Island the most southely point in all of Canada being on the same paralle as California and norther Portugual, as well as the wild yet beautiful Algonguin Park.

I saw clients off to Punta Cana, Portugual and the Azores Islands.

Now that we’re fully in the Fall spirit, I can’t wait to say bon voyage to clients headed to Curacao, Aruba and Las Vegas to name a few.

Should you go back to the Caribbean islands you know thia winter, or try somewhere new?

You’re spoiled for choice in the Caribbean, there are so many gorgeous resorts and hotels and every island has its own things to explore.

Here are a few questions I ask my clients to help them narrow it down:

➡️ What activities do you want to prioritize for the trip? Are you just relaxing at the resort or do you want to venture out? And what’s top priority, water activities, culture, food, etc?

➡️ What’s your budget? Are you sticking to your usual budget or are you splurging/

➡️ Who’s coming? Are you traveling with kids, family, friends, or will it just be you and your partner?

➡️ What’s one thing that would make this trip exceptional for you?

In short, the best Caribbean island depends on your personal preferences and travel style because no island is exactly the same.

Money saved, money lost — it may seem cheaper to book a trip yourself but…

This one thing can make or break your start to your vacation.
Luggage issues.. My luggage didn't show up.
Anyone been in that situation? I have.

You have to make a claim and now you didn't put a change of clothes in your personal item you caried on or too much in your carry on. Now what? You make a claim and patiently wait hoping it will show up!!
The best way to get over that anxiuos feeling is to be prepared and know you have the right coverage before you Travel.
Having Trip Interuption and Baggage Claim can help save you to lessen the anxiety and have peace of mind.
As a Travel Agent I strongly encouage you to have the right coverage.
Many feel their credit card has it in their policy only to find out they don't have coverage. Others make sure they pruchase that Peace of Mind policy before they travel with their Travel Insurance.

A subject no one likes to think of before they travel but a sure blessing when those No luggage occurances happen.

Do you have those days something is missing! I need a complete pick me up!

Sometimes, the solution is as simple as getting out of your head and your environment and seeing another part of the world. Or something even local that you never expereinced before. Talk about a pick me up!

But can we talk for a minute about the quality of your Holiday?

It could be a quick 4-night getaway to The Bahamas, Rocky Mountains for breathtaking hike or a two-week stay in Greece, the spice island of Grenada or the Nature Island Dominica.. Here are a few things I've found make all the difference in whether my trips (and the trips of my clients) are great instead of just average.

Personalization - This one is totally underestimated, but there are so many places you can go to and hundreds of thousands of hotels and resorts where you can stay. My picks and recommendations are based on all of the information I file away about my clients and how they specifically like to travel.

Pre-Planning - It's a total dream when you can arrive at the destination with the little details already taken care of. The airport transport company is waiting, or the rental car company; your tours and experiences are taken care of, so you can breathe easily.

An Advocate - When flights get moved or canceled, or you decide you want to stay longer, it's nice to have someone who can step in and move mountains to make things happen quicker for you so you can enjoy your time, not spend it on hold or at the front desk.

This is what travel nightmares are made of 😬

I’ve got my eyes on Maderia Portugal!

I’m headed there in June to
explore sites, see the landscape and connecting with my travel industry network in the destination so I can get to know more about this beautiful island between Morocco and Portugal.

I’m really looking forward to seeing the many natural pools like this one Porto Moniz.

Some of my clients is making their dream come true and will be heading to Portugal in a few weeks.

I couldn‘t resist sharing a sneak peek into the itinerary I’ve been crafting for them.

Here‘s a glimpse:

They‘ll be staying at the Acores Lisboa, known for its great breakfast, being close to the Metro and surrounded by parks. Carefully chosen for its being close to the famous shopping areas on Rossio Square.

My client is big on history, so their itinerary includes some tailored experiences like visiting the Palace of Marquises Palacio Fronteira, Castle of Sao Jorge and many medieval villages they will be able to get out to explore.

And, if I‘m honest, that‘s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to exploring this area in Portugal.

Summer trip inspiration incoming ☀️

What are the best islands for summer getaways to the Caribbean?

It’s hard to choose favorites. There are so many things to se and do on every island, but these three are my particular favorites during the summer months.

Belize - Spend a week hiking, swimming with the whale sharks, visiting the Mayan ruins, seeing the monkeys and enjoying snorkeling on the second barrier reef.

St Lucia - I always book the hike up the Pitons and snorkeling/diving for my clients, and they come home raving about it.

Dominica the Nature Island - hiking to the amazing waterfalls, visiting the movie places where Pirates' of Caribbean were filmed along with whale watching is a must-do in the Caribbean.

Yet, both island you can relax and get rejuvenated for your mind, body and soul.
