With the Park being 90% open, and with Memorial Day weekend coming up, keep in mind that nature still has to run its course and some of the more popular trails may close from time to time with things like this. Bears and wolves occasionally make kills on or by trails, so those trails near carcasses are closed for your safety. Be patient and understanding with the rangers and your guides. These rules and temporary closures are not meant to restrict your fun. We will do our best to make sure you have a memorable visit, as well as keeping you and ourselves safe.

Last night officially ended the season. Thank you for those who made this first year such a busy and fun one. Made some new friends and a lot of good memories. See you all in April.

The bison rut is in full swing. Now is one of the best times to visit Hayden and Lamar Valleys. The bison are starting to gather in larger herds, the bulls can be heard "bellowing" their dominance, and with a little luck and patience, you might be able to witness a battle or two.

Fun fact for your weekend. The Lower Falls of the Yellowstone drops 308 feet to the canyon floor. That makes the waterfall just 3 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty.

For your safety, please follow the 25 yard distance requirement. But once in a great while, you get treated to a close encounter, with the railing as a barrier.

I started this second business to keep myself busy and out of trouble during the summer months, between hunting seasons.
