Meghalaya 4D/3N Itinerary
Day 01: GUWAHATI – SHILLONG (100km/ 3 hrs)
Guwahati arrival, greet by our representative at the airport/rail station. Proceed to Shillong, it is also called 'Scotland of the East".
Visit: Umium lake, Cathedral Church and Polo ground,
Evening Shopping in Police Bazaar.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: SHILLONG – MAWLYNNONG – DAWKI – SHILLONG
Post breakfast visit Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia. It is situated 90 Km. From Shillong and besides the picturesque village, offers many interesting sights such as the living Root Bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. It is along the Indo-Bangladesh border. This cute and colorful little village is known for its cleanliness. After Mawlynnong sight-seeing, you can also visit Dawki.
Overnight stay.
Post breakfast, proceed to Cherrapunjee sightseeing.
Cherrapunjee is the wettest place in the world. There are lots of spectacular view points on
the way to Cherrapunjee.
On the way to Shillong, visit Elephant falls.
the few road border crossings between India and Bangladesh. It is used mainly for coal
Dawki-Tamabil is one of
transportation to Bangladesh. Dawki Bridge is a suspension bridge over the Umngot River. It was
constructed in 1932 by the British. The Umngot River, the Dawki Bridge and the Bangladesh
border is the main tourist attraction. Later travel to Shillong
DAY 03: SHILLONG - CHERRAPUNJEE - SHILLONG
Some of the Main Attractions of Cherrapunjee are the Cherrapunjee view point, Mawsmai Cave,
Nohkalikai Falls, Seven sister falls and Eco Park etc. After sight-seeing back to Shillong.
Overnight stay.
Day 04: SHILLONG – GUWAHATI
Post breakfast; visit Lady Hydari Park, Ward’s Lake and Donbosco Museum. Later travel to
Guwahati, and airport/rail station drop; and end the tour with sweet memories
