Warsaw is our final leg of my family’s travels around Poland. After 80% of this city was leveled in WWII, Warsaw has rebuilt, and it is beautiful! This city is especially important to me because my grandfather was born in Warsaw, so it is always meaningful to visit. While in Warsaw, I recommend:
- touring the Old Town
- the Warsaw Resistance Museum
- the POLIN Museum
- Łazienki Palace
- The Palace of Science and Culture

EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival just wrapped up this past week. I had the pleasure of sampling some AMAZING food and drinks this past Sunday! Here are some of my favorites:

1. Pollinator Flatbread with honey-whipped mascarpone, honey caramelized onions, blueberry gastrique, prosciutto, honey-whipped goat cheese, honey vinaigrette, and bee pollen
Drink: Florida Orange Groves Winery Orange Blossom Honey Wine

2. Frushi - strawberry, pineapple, and lychee wrapped in sweet rice and pink soy wrap
Drink: Nigori Dragon Fruit Sake Cocktail

3. Toasted pretzel bread topped with Black Forest ham and Gruyère cheese

4. Lavender Martini - Boyd and Blair Potato Vodka with Lavender and Lemon

5. Grilled Savory Corn on the Cob with savory garlic spread and spicy corn chips

For my 5th and final day of National Travel and Tourism week, I wanted to talk about one of my personal favorite destinations: Guatemala! When I was in college, I took two separate trips to Guatemala through a cultural exchange program, and I fell in love with the country. The views of ancient Mayan temples, jungle oases, volcanos, and Lake Atitlan are all truly a traveler’s dream!

“My favorite travel location is Edinburgh! I love the gothic architecture and winding alleyways that could open up into a courtyard or a graveyard. From hiking to the top of Arthur’s Seat to exploring the underground tunnels to drinking in a church turned bar, it was a magical experience from day one. With an added bus trip into the highlands, it was the perfect combination of city and nature.”

Day three of National Travel and Tourism Week highlights the K Family and their trip to Walt Disney World!

"We finally took the plunge and booked our first official family vacay to Disney!

We knew we wanted to try and do as much as possible in the few days we were in Florida, and Smugglers Run and Rise of the Resistance were at the top of our rides list. Who would have guessed that D loved his first roller coaster, Big Thunder Mountain, so much we went twice! We even got on Seven Dwarves Mining Train!

One of the family's favorite pictures is at dinner in Cinderella's Castle during the fireworks, with D sitting on his Nanny's lap.

Sami was the absolute best, responding immediately and helping us navigate genie+ and all of the other virtual systems, which were new to us." - Sam K.

Today I’m highlighting Patty and Jim (also known as mom and dad to me)! They went to Athens and Santorini this past September and LOVED their experience! They experienced a guided tour of the Acropolis, a day trip to Delphi, and a catamaran ride around the caldera in Santorini! It’s safe to say they went all out for their 30th anniversary trip!
