Important information if you are going to Rome this fall.

Heads up! If you’re heading to the Vatican Museums this year, book now. The normal 60-day window to buy tickets is no more: All dates through the rest of 2024 are now open. So if the Sistine Chapel, Bramante Staircase, and Raphael Rooms are in your upcoming travel plans, grab your tickets asap (link below).

What’s different? Usually, the Vatican Museums release tickets two months in advance. Now, all dates are open through the end of this year. It’s unclear if this will continue in 2025.

What should you do? Go to the Vatican Museum’s main website and book now. Tickets start at €20.

Is Saint Peter’s Basilica part of this? Nope. You can still get into the Basilica (for free) by lining up at Saint Peter’s Square. Don’t forget to cover your knees and shoulders!
