Yesterday we talked about how you can support your favorite small businesses -- today we're going to walk the walk! If you're looking for a cool foodie experience or a great place to pick up some food-related gifts this holiday season, check out our friends at Eventide Specialties in Boothbay Harbor! We really love their balsamic vinegars, but they also have a bakery, fabulous cheeses, a great wine selection, and all sorts of charcuterie staples (looking at you, fig jam!) Pictured here are some of their sweet treats from the bakery -- stop in and try them for yourself!

Between Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday, we had a lot of friends and neighbors ask how they could support our business when they, ya know, live here. The answer is simple, and you don't have to live in Boothbay to do it: help us spread the word!
A lot of small businesses like ours earn most of their business through referrals and reviews, so if you want a quick, free, and easy way to support your favorite small businesses all year long by doing one (or all!) of the following:
1) Leave a review! Most of the time you can do this on their website or google, but if you're not sure, email them!
2) Share their posts on social media!
3) Like or comment on their social media posts!
4) Tag them in posts you make if they're relevant -- like if you share a photo of a great coffee from a cafe, tag the cafe!
5) Tell your friends why you like that business!
All of these are small things that really add up, especially when you do them more than once!
