The road has re-opened!

UPDATE: The road between the parks is now OPEN thanks to our dedicated crew! It is still unknown what next steps will be needed to fully repair this section of road, but we will communicate any future closures or impacts.

Attention Travelers!

The road between Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks is currently CLOSED due to emergency repairs. A sinkhole has emerged near Stoney Creek in Sequoia National Forest, affecting both lanes on the Generals Highway. Repair crews are working tonight, but it’s uncertain if the road will reopen by tomorrow.
