We spent a night in one of the haunted rooms at the Bankfoot Inn a 18th century coaching inn located at Perthshire Scotland.

It’s the anniversary of THAT handprint!
Those who know me or have been up to Castle Menzies with us will probably know the story.

There are some details of what happened in the comments of original post. Only thing not mentioned is that after this i seemed to have the male spirit attached to me for a few days. He and I eventually came to an understanding. Still feel a link to him though all these years later.
There are still tickets available for this week’s tour!

A photo of the hand print left on my body after a vigil at the castle. A lot of weird stuff happened that night but it was fun! :)

Unfortunately tonight’s Haunted Castle Tour, of Castle Menzies is cancelled as this is the state of our only available guide! Been told to rest for 24hrs before hobbling round spooky old buildings! (Honestly, cannae get the staff these days)

Sorry for any disappointment, full refunds and transfers have been given.
We thoroughly recommend a visit during the day if you are in the area. Ghostly goings on still take place at all times there (just ask the manager)!

Returning to normal service by next Wednesday, hope you have a great weekend!

Such good news, well done to Scott and all who worked so hard to save the castle from the floodwaters!

Great news - no wellies needed for tonight’s tour!
Thanks to an incredible team of people stepping in to evict the floodwaters from Castle Menzies the Haunted Castle Tour, Menzies Castle, Weem. will be able to go ahead. If you were considering it but worried about the weather, the road to the castle from Aberfeldy is clear so it is safe to book. We have had a lot of enquiries over the last 24hrs, so thanks to Scott and the fabulous volunteer’s hard work we look forward to welcoming our guests.

I think we need to start recording and analysing more of our tours - Just think what we could’ve been missing over the years!
History and Horror Tours started the original unique and (as far as we are aware) first of it’s kind outside of Edinburgh, Haunted Tours at Castle Menzies in early 2000’s (oh that’s making us feel old). That’s a lot of missed EVPs! Lol!
