Beautiful morning walks out at the Elan Valley, although water is worryingly low! Followed by lunch at Penbont tea rooms. 50 minute drive from Caban Pren.

We’ve a nest in Hafren forest and then one here at these excellent viewing facilities at Dyfi Wildlife Centre.

“ Great place close to Machynlleth- great for eating out or supplies. We took our bikes and there is a secure balcony with a lockable door which hides the bikes from public view, although the entire chalet is quite hidden! Large cabin with great kitchen and living space. Absolutely love this place and hope to stay again. “

“ We spent the whole time on the balcony- having meals outside, reading and playing games. The chalet is very cosy. We didn’t feel the need to go for any walks or to eat out. We cooked meals in the chalet. The couch was a recliner which an unexpected bonus. This is the perfect place if you want to relax and enjoy nature. “

“ What a lovely Cabin in the woods. The space was cosy, tidy and we loved how secluded it was. There was lot’s of local tips for walks, pubs and extensive collection of travel brochures. The personal touches- welsh cakes and bara brith on arrival!- made it a perfect stay “
