🎶🦋Yawanawà Musical Studies Retreat 🎶🦋 In the Sacred Village. It was a beautiful week of studies and celebration of Yawanawà Music. To witness our brothers and sisters find their voice and sing in a Yawanawà choir, to witness guitar orchestras and beautiful meetings of hearts 💕 was a very moving experience for our Yawanawà family and friends. The healing force of Yawanawà Chants and its ability to open hearts and bring people from 22 different countries to breath as one is a true gift 🥰 🙌🏽.

Hoje, no dia da Amazônia o presidente lula assinou a demarcação de duas terras indígenas, Rio Gregório (ACRE) e Acapuri de Cima (AM)

É um momento importante para nós povos indígenas, a demarcação dos territórios indígenas é a solução número um para acabar com a crise climática, não podemos falar de Amazônia de pé com sangue indígena no chão.

Estive no último fim de semana no território indígena Rio Gregório, junto com a ministra participando do ritual do Mariri, com o povo Yawanawa.

Hoje celebramos essa importante vitória. Lutaremos por nossos territórios demarcados.

DEMARCATION IS DEMOCRACY!!!

Today, on Amazon Day, President Lula signed the demarcation of two indigenous lands, Rio Gregório (ACRE) and Acapuri de Cima (AM)

It is an important moment for us indigenous peoples, the demarcation of indigenous territories is the number one solution to end the climate crisis, we cannot talk about the Amazon standing with indigenous blood on the ground.

I was in the Rio Gregório indigenous territory last weekend, together with the minister participating in the Mariri ritual, with the Yawanawa people.

Today we celebrate this important victory. We will fight for our demarcated territories.

Lots of ancestry, dances, prayers, healing rituals and lots of culture.

Our diversity is rich and sacred! 🏹😍

Hoje estou junto com minha parente .xakriaba no Território Indígena Rio Gregório para o Ritual do Mariri, do Povo Yawanawá.

Muita ancestralidade, danças, rezas, rituais de cura e muita cultura.

A próxima festa na Floresta Yawa vem aproximando…Dias 5-15 de Abril vamos subindo o Rio Gregório da Terra indígena Yawanawà no Acre na Amazônia Brasileira pra celebrar a vida dum grande homem. Aquele homem aqui no vídeo, com o sorriso grande, com a tiara de miçanga dançando com muita alegria e nosso amado Cacique Nixiwaka. Um grande líder que alem de cuidar da sua família; sua esposa Putanny, seus filho e filhas e , liderando seu povo e cuidando da sua aldeia, ainda vai apresentar um Ted talk esse ano, vai compartilhar uma fala na frente de 55 presidentes mundiais, vai participar num congresso aqui no Brasil e muito mais…. E tudo isso com um grande sorriso e com muito coração!! Nossa festa na Floresta vem aproximando… as vagas são limitadas .. mais info DM. Yihuuuu!! >
The next Celebration in the Yawanawa Forest is fast approaching …
On April 5th to the 15th we will be boating up the Gregório River in the Yawanawà Indigenous Territories in Acre, Brazilian Amazon to celebrate the life of a great man and leader. You cans see him here in this video, with a big smile on his face wearing a beaded headband dancing with great joy! This is our beloved Chief Nixiwaka. A great leader who besides taking care of his family; his wife Putanny, his son and daughters Nawa and Yka, and in addition to leading his people and taking care of his village, will also be presenting a Ted talk this year, will speak in front of 55 world presidents, will participate in a congress here in Brazil and so much more….
