And just like this, it's Monday again. 🙃
I often find that once I made the decision to travel and take time off or even quit my job (as I have done in the past!) somehow things seem to fall into place.

YES, I know you need money to travel and with the dynamic of rising living costs changing I understand that it is for a lot of people a luxury to do. But I also know that even you thought you can't afford it in the first place, once you make the plan, somehow you find a way to make it happen and there are so many different options for all kind of budgets...

I met a girl in 2010 while travelling around Australia and she is currently travelling with her son (single mum) from Germany to Australia via bus, train, car and flights.
She is travelling on a budget, but she once said that somehow things seem to fall into place once you make the conscious decision that you want to do this!

This week's photo was taken on Phi Phi Island in Thailand, a girl's trip back in 2018 I did with my best friend. She flew in from Germany and I from Australia and we did a week holiday together and it was just so good for the soul. To all the mum's out there - you also deserve some time to fill your cup 🫶! We spent a couple days in Phuket, a couple days on Phi Phi Island and a couple days on Ko Lanta. We relaxed at the beach drinking cocktails, did a cooking class on Ko Lanta right at the beach, a day trip to James Bond Island and enjoyed amazing Thai food all day long. 🥰

Phi Phi Islands (Koh Phi Phi) is a popular little island only 40 km south of Phuket.
If you were wondering, you would pronounce Phi Phi ‘Pee-Pee’, not ‘Fee-Fee’! This Island doesn't need an introduction anymore since Leonardo DiCaprio took care of this in 2000 with the movie The Beach. It's a touristy spot, it's fun, it's a good party spot and has amazing beaches worth to be in a movie.

A little throwback to my work trip to Fiji.

"BULA" something the Fijians use to express their happiness. Once on the island you have to reset your clocks to " Island time" 🏝
It's a special time zone where you don't rush, sit back and relax and just don't stress. 😉

It's a beautiful reminder to stop, breathe and just be 🌺☀️.

It's Monday Morning again and while it's often a dreaded day for so many after the weekend 😉, i have to say i have to come to really like my Monday morning travel quotes and to tell you a little about the photos and memories. If you are still reading, I assume you like them as well 🥰.

There is something magical about experiencing new places for the first time, immersing yourself in different cultures and making memories to last a lifetime.

One of many stunningly beautiful waterfalls we got to see on our 9-day self-drive journey around Iceland in 2015. It was a destination my husband and I had on our bucket list for a while and for our honeymoon we made it a reality. We had eight days of rain, misty weather and overcast and we still rate it as one of the most amazing countries we have ever visited (sorry beautiful, sunny Thailand 😙).

The untouched nature, the clean air, the food, the people - just everything has left a mark on our heart. ICELAND for sure left an impression we won't forget.

Just jetted back home yesterday from an amazing couple days in FIJI 🌴for my MTA Travel conference. I will tell you all about it and share a heap load of photos and Videos with you in the next couple days, but for today I will leave this with you...

This photo was taken on the South Island in New Zealand in Punakaiki, a small village on the west coast and has the amazing Pancake Rocks to experience and so much more. This was an amazing 5* weeklong work trip (yes, all expenses paid!) and we got to experience some amazing sights, vineyards, accommodation and food.

Travel has always been my passion - not just doing it myself but also helping others to have an amazing time away, to take the stress out of the planning and to share my experience having been to a lot of amazing places in the world...

I often hear that the money you spend on travel kind of just vanishes, because you don't buy anything that you can show for, BUT what you get is an experience, memories that fill your heart, self-confidence to get on that plane and travel to another country. It's something no one can take away from you, it can't break like material things and you can relive it in your head as often as needed.
Not once has a client ever said that they regret they spent that much money on their holiday, so 🤷‍♀️ - go and spend that money, invest in yourself.

Did a beautiful tour today to Tivua Island 🏝.
90min sailing from Port Denarau with lots of entertainment, singing and the Fijian friendliness and happiness ☺️. You have the option of booking in a massage and/or Scuba Diving at an extra cost ( sooo worth it 👌) and you get a beautiful lunch and drinks on the island ( beer, wine and soft drinks) , kids club entertainment, use of stand-up paddle boards, medicine walks, guided snorkelling, kayak and glass bottom boat tour included. It was a little bit windy but that didn't take away from the beauty of the island, the amazing organisation of the day and the energy the staff put in to make this day absolutely memorable 🥰.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND ✨️ when you come to Fiji! You know where you find me to book 😉

Good morning from beautiful Fiji. A little overcast, lovely temperature though and just enjoyed a loved breakfast at the adult only restaurant 🥰 ( for someone who normally runs out of the house without BF getting kids ready this was pure bliss!). While I'm getting ready to jet off to Sydney tonight and Fiji tomorrow for my MTA conference (yes, unfortunately we travel agents have to travel for work meetings 😉) I will leave this little Monday Motivation with you.

In 2019 I flew to Spain and walked the last 117.3km from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela (in six days) also known as the Camino. It's known as the way of St. James, a network of ancient pilgrimage routes and over the centuries it has drawn millions of pilgrims, seeking spiritual growth, adventure and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I travelled alone, first to Madrid for 2 nights, then I made my way to Sarria the start of my "little walk" and after 6 days I got to the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela (a feeling like no other!). It was an amazing experience, absolute life-changing and has helped me with a lot of soul searching in a very difficult time of my life. The people I met along the way and their stories have left me inspired and motivated for a long time to come.

I know travelling alone might seem out of your comfort zone, but the things you learn about yourself and the people you meet and friendships you create are second to none - I promise. I have travelled alone, with friends, with family, as a couple and for work with other travel agents and the solo trips have always left the most imprint on my soul and heart. 🫶

If you can, take that step and do something alone.
You will see, it's not as scary as you think - I PROMISE!

Happy Thursday my beautiful travel peeps.
Coming to you today with a little something for inspiration...
My parents are currently staying in a beautiful little 3* hotel on Gozo, a little island just of Malta in the Mediterranean Sea. 😍

Situated on the seaside promenade of the Xlendi Bay, it's literally just 5 metres from the sea. *talk about a view*

A small little boutique hotel set amongst the cliffs of the Xlendi Valley, offering breakfast and also has a lovely restaurant on site. Apart from the fabulous location, the staff has been absolutely amazing to deal with. As it's my dad's 60th birthday this week I organized a little surprise for their arrival. 😉 Flowers, chocolate, wine and a voucher for the restaurant and as a little extra they even got a card with a sixty on it - just amazing. The way the staff makes you feel and how they look after you with these little things makes sometimes all the difference for an unforgettable holiday. Australian Passports are going up by 15% on the 1st July 2024, so if your passport is up for renewal or you need one, now is the time to do it!

There will also be a new fast-track system for passport applications. From July, applications can be processed within five business days for a $100 fee. This is an appealing option for travellers wanting greater certainty about when they will receive their passport but who don’t need a two-day turnaround, which currently costs $252.

Wednesday Work 🥰
Thought I share a little bit about what I've been working on lately. Booked a family for a beautiful week long holiday to Fiji, a couples getaway to Vanuatu ( adult only resort!) , worked on a quote for Sri Lanka next year, working on some details for a Europe trip, two corporate flights within the country and currently working on a quote for two families going to either Japan or the US next year. 😊

Absolutely love all the different destinations everyone is going to or planning on going...

For people that know me, I am wearing a lot of different hats in life, BUT the most important of them all will always be to be a MUM to my beautiful two children.

They are the reason for short nights, endless laundry and some grey hair , but also the reason for a fuller heart ❤️, a bigger passion and all the smiles.
