Tel Mar Elias / Saint Elijah’s hill
One of 5 Christian pilgrimage sites in Jordan
Recognized by Pope John Paul II in 2000 when he visited our land and recognized this hill as one of the 5 sites due to its great importance in the Holy Bible Because its the birthplace of St Elijah (listeb)

The statue consist of the famous stick of Moses and the bronze snake wrapped around it according to the Old Testament Moses wrapped it around his stick to heal those who were bitten by the snakes from God’s punishment

كرمز للنبي موسى و يتكوّن الرمز من عصا موسى الشهيرة و أيضا من الأفعى التي بحسب العهد القديم وضعها موسى على العصا لشفاء الملدّوغين من الأفاعي التي لدّغت بني اسرائيل كعقابٍ من الرب.
