Come back from your days exploring the Poconos to this eye-catching 30-foot Signature Series work of art on wheels. The sleek, post-modern look of any Airstream turns heads everywhere it goes, and the interior is entirely custom-decorated in the theme of one of the owner's paintings of the woods in California. The Whistling Kitty (the name inspired by a white cat, Crystal Jr, who lived and travele
d with the owner and went crazy over whistling) is no ordinary Airstream. Step inside, and the first thing you’ll notice is the outside, through the wall of (tinted!) windows that stretch across the kitchen and wrap around above the couch in the front of the trailer. There are 3 more windows on the top curve of the trailer, windows above the kitchen sink, and two skylights, allowing plenty of natural light to flood the camper. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and store meals to remember or just fix up quick snacks. The microwave is also a convection oven, the stovetop has 3 gas burners, there’s a pantry to store your food items, a sizable refrigerator and freezer, and the drawers and cabinets are stocked with silverware, cookware and drink ware. The main cabin has a TV that can be hooked up to the campground cable (no DVD player), a couch that can extend out to a twin-sized bed, and a kitchen table that seats 4 and can also be turned down into a small bed. There is storage above the couch and three storage areas under the couch (one stores the electrical cords), under the kitchen benches, and even places for your books and magazines, and hooks for hats and your so-easy-to-lose-when-camping keys right by the door. The radio on the wall in the main cabin can pick up local stations, or connect your bluetooth to the full-cabin surround sound system to rock your own tunes, podcasts, audiobooks, etc. Or switch it over to the TV for an excellent surround sound experience on movie night! 8 speakers run the length of the ceiling from front to back, so you can busy-body around the trailer and still hear what you’re listening to in any room. The hallway from the main cabin to the bedroom houses a closet, shower and bathroom, and can be closed off on both ends for privacy. Open the bathroom door and you’ll be transported to a colorful magical forest, with walls covered in wallpaper of a painting that the owner did of a path through the northern California forests, when she and Crystal Junior lived in the Airstream there. You may notice that the color theme throughout the trailer is made to match this painting. The bathroom has brand new upgraded toilet and a small sink, mirrored walls, a ceiling fan and small window (with shade!) and plenty of storage for your bathroom things. Across the hallway, the standing shower is a simple small shower with a towel rack and a clothesline, should you need to hang wet things to drip dry. Next to the shower, the two-door closet has enough room for a week’s worth of attire for two, with a hanging rod and shelving on top. Sink into the queen sized bed and stare out the windows on the left, on the right and behind the bed at your surroundings. Open the window at night and fall asleep to crickets or frogs, and wake up to birds singing in the morning. Flip on the bedroom TV for those lazy days/nights, or curl up with a book using the overhead reading lights over the head of the bed. There is storage on each side of the bed and plenty of room under the bed for storing bigger things. Raining on your parade? Open the giant awning that runs along the side of the trailer, plant yourself in a seat underneath and watch the rain fall around you. Or sit inside and listen to the rain fall on the aluminum roof, watch it pour off the skylights and down the awnings that cover all of the windows, allowing you to keep the windows open in the rain without worry. Or maybe it’s hot as heck. Turn down the temperature and the two air conditioners will kick in (on 50 amps only, or use one AC on 30 amps), and provide a cool respite from scorching weekends and long days in the sun. Turn the thermostat up and electric heat or propane heat heats up the trailer as toasty as you want it. Lighting throughout the trailer has been upgraded to warm LED, and can be dimmed in all rooms to create ambiance or fully light up your operation. Fresh layers of paint are throughout, and the rig is fully inspected and kept in tip-top shape. A tank indicator on the kitchen wall tells you what percentage the grey and black tanks are at, so you can keep an eye on when it’s time to empty tanks. Regardless of where you’re going, going there in the Whistling Kitty is sure to be a unique and memorable experience. Owned and decorated by one artist owner since it rolled off the Airstream conveyor belt in 2015, every element of this luxurious travel trailer is poured over with care.
