G'day all,

Sad to say this, but I'm astounded and disappointed by the terrible example being set by many travellers at the minute, ignoring laws, main roads advice, police advice, locals advice and crossing flooded rivers on closed roads.

Not to mention thinking they are more important than, and giving no regard to their fellow travellers who are doing the right thing and waiting for the road to open!

If it's a closed road, it's closed. if you ignore this, you're a wa**er. Plain and simple. A wa**er.

An arrogant, self entitled, egotistic, disrespectful, self entitled, pompous wa**er.

Road will be open soon people. Be patient. Nature controls us, not the other way around.

Unsure about what happens if you get caught on a closed road in W.A.?

-No insurance
-No medical rescue
-No breakdown coverage
-HUGE fines ($1000 per tyre per KM, including trailers & spares)
- Everyone thinks you're a bellend.

To those who did the right thing - thank you from all the patient people along the Gibb.

To those who think they're above everyone, hope your diff falls out and you trip and fall on a nest of green ants.

The best in the west!

We're celebrating the first burger order off the grill for the 2023 season!

2023 is set to be a busy time in the Mt Barnett Roadhouse kitchen for our wonderful station cook Sandie and her superstar kitchen team. They're busy already, putting much love into drumming up delicious home made meals and filling the rumbling tummies of our hungry campers and families on the road!

The menu is bigger (and tastier) than ever, our classic roadhouse menu bursting with options like barramundi burgers, fish and chips, seafood baskets, toasties, chicken or veggie wraps, bacon & egg rolls, chicken nuggies, and of course the famous chips and burgers which are as mouth watering as ever!

Delicious new hot lunch specials will hit the spot every time - rotating across the season there will be slow cooked curries, fried rice, rotisserie BBQ chooks, Pulled meat and gravy rolls, homemade sausage rolls, and much much more.

Old fashioned milkshakes, iced coffee/chocolate and of course fresh barista coffee will be available during kitchen hours.

Outside of kitchen hours there will still be fresh salads and cut sandwiches available from the fridge (while they last).

All of our specials are made fresh so please ask what's on offer when you come in to the roadhouse, but also be understanding if things sell out quick, as this year is set to be busy busy!

We'll see you up the road, enjoy the season, it'll be a humdinger!
