April 24 - this morning we visited a museum and jewelry factory. So interesting to see how these amazingly beautiful pieces,are made. The Gyan family were great host. Onto The Oberoi Raz Villas Jaipur for a site inspection and lunch. They designed a special menu just for us knowing all the heavy Indian food we have been eating. My favorite meal so far!

Now we are on a 4 hour drive back to Delhi. Off to Kahna tomorrow for our tiger extension.

April 23 - Exploring the Forts & Palaces of Jaipur. A day of visiting the sites of Jaipur. Hawaii Mahal, City Palce (outside only). Our tour was canceled so the VP could have dinner. Amber Palace and surrounding fortress and walls. The Pink Fasade used by Royal Women to watch professions. Water Palace that is currently not used. The top floor is supposed to be made into a restaurant. The Roal Astronomical Observatory aka Jantar Mantar. Lunch at the Raas Palace.

Upon our request our host found a Palm Reader to come do readings at the resort! $12 well spent. Followed by a jewlery store, then rug and block printing demonstrations.

Dinner at another opulent resort- Samode Haveli Palace. Back to the hotel to say good bye to Leslie as she continues her journey to a wellness spa for 7days. The rest of us back to Delhi for our Kanha extension.

April 22 - Journey through Rajasthan. A visit to an NGO (non-governmental organization- nonproft), followed by yet another place hotel wine and dine. A private ( not exciting) shopping trip for two of us, followed by a family dinner home visit.

Staying at the Laalee - referred to as the Artiists' Mansion. 11 rooms. All hand painted and designed differently. The dining room trees designed by the husband based on the trees on the properties. Material with trees and parrots, designed by an artist friend. A very unique property.

Ivy and Usha with their 2 dogs welcomed us into their home for a chat and dinner. Ivy's family was very wealthy and prominate within the royal family and military. They run an airbnb.

Thank you everyone for your concern. I am safe. The attack was over 18 hours from Jaipur. VP Vance will be here tonight so security is very tight. We were hosted to a lovely family dinner last night.

April 21 - Ranthambore Jungle Safari. 6am in Zone 3 (canter) with no tigers but plenty of deer, monkeys and peacocks. A few wild boars and crocodiles. 230pm in Zone 2 (private jeep) with sighting 4 or 5 Tigers that we kept waiting to wake up. Pictures will follow later from the person who had a zoom camera.

April 20 - From the World Wonder to the Jungles of India. 500am sunrise at the Taj Mahal. Followed by a visit to the deserted red sandstone city of Fatehpur Sikri and a handicraft store that makes inlaid mosaic marble items. 4 hours to Ranthambore!

April 19 - Journey through the Golden Triangle and Mughal History. ITC Mughal, Agra. Visits to Agra Fort and Moti Bagh (the baby Taj Majal) that was built prior to the now World famous one. Lunch at the Taj Convention,, drinks at the Oberoi Taj Majal and dinner at the hotel. The Oberoi could not host us because the were getting ready for JD to arrive tomorrow. And yes he is staying in one of the amazing suites that we toured. Early day tomorrow!

April 18 - the heritage and bustle of Delhi. Old Delhi, Jama Masjid, Chandigarh Chowk, The Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, Graven ki baoli. Lunch at the Oberoi followed by a visit to Qutab Minar (Pakistan war). Dinner at the Leela Palace.
