A day of numbers as we traveled from Bakersfield in California to Las Vegas, Nevada - 380 miles. With stops at Mesquite sand dunes, the aptly named Furnace Creek (101F/38C), Bad water Basin salt flats at 280 feet below sea level and finished off with 2 ice cold beers in Las Vegas. More adventures tomorrow.

Yet another fabulous Broadway show. Simply the best. Better than all the rest! Tina leaves you with no doubt that she is the "Queen of Rock 'n' Roll."

The cast of MJ taking in the well earned standing ovation from the audience last night. Myles Frost who played the role of Michael Jackson was outstanding. He danced like Michael, he sounded like Michael. If you are coming to New York and want to take in a show on Broadway, we highly recommend MJ. It's a Thriller!

France has now introduced a vaccine pass for access to venues such as bars and cafés, but while the rollout appears to be going fairly smoothly in France the pass has created travel headaches for visitors from the USA.

As much as I’d like to dazzle you with a complete list of Broadway previews, openings and re-openings, the current roster is far from complete. Still, considering the Great White Way has been dormant for over a year and a half, the evolving influx of announcements is dramatically optimistic!

NEW YORK, NEW YORK!

Read the official announcement from The Broadway League:

With guidance from Governor Andrew Cuomo, based on current health trends and subject to continuing improvement of public health and vaccination rates, as well as the state’s final approval of each theatre operator’s health and safety protocols, the Broadway League announces that Broadway shows in New York City will resume ticket sales this month for Fall 2021 performances.

Anticipated dates for each returning and new Broadway production will be announced in coming weeks on a show-by-show basis as individual productions and their producers determine the performance schedules and timelines for their respective shows.

“We are thrilled that Governor Cuomo clearly recognizes the impact of Broadway’s return on the city and state’s economy and the complexity of restarting an entire industry that has been dormant for over a year,” said Charlotte St. Martin, President of the Broadway League. “Nothing beats Broadway. The theatre owners, producers, and other League members will continue to work with the NY State Department of Health and the Governor to coordinate the industry’s return and the related health and safety protocols required to do so. We remain cautiously optimistic about Broadway’s ability to resume performances this fall and are happy that fans can start buying tickets again.”

Each show that is returning will announce soon when they will resume performances.

Group sale dates will be announced soon - However, Diana, the Musical is on sale for group buyers for performances starting December 1, 2021.

News from the Governors office, New York.

Our safe and careful economic recovery and reopening continues. Beginning May 19, large-scale outdoor event venues will welcome more people and only be limited by the capacity necessary to comply with the CDC social distancing rules. This applies to outdoor music concerts, live entertainment, baseball games, horse races and more. Additionally, fully vaccinated attendees at these events may be seated at full capacity in assigned sections—providing another incentive for New Yorkers to get vaccinated. And in great news, the New York Yankees and the New York Mets, along with the State Department of Health, are teaming up to offer the COVID vaccine at their stadiums for fans at games. There's another perk, too: If you're going to a Yankees or Mets game and get vaccinated while there, you'll get a free ticket to a future game. This announcement is good for baseball fans—and good for public health.

AND!!!!

The show will go on! Broadway theaters are ready to reopen at 100% capacity beginning September 14, and tickets will go on sale starting tomorrow. Broadway is a major part of our state's identity and our economy, so we're glad the curtain will rise again.

NEW YORK IS COMING BACK.
