She also helped plan a surprise party for my 40th birthday in a hidden jungle paradise at Secrets Akumal.
Then we headed to Isla Mujeres to explore the island and Impressions by Secrets, which is a true luxury experience—and I didn’t think it could get better than Akumal!

“This was my first time doing an all-inclusive resort and it was so wonderful. The staff was amazing and our concierge sent us a daily itinerary with all the events of the day/night and times the restaurants were open. We enjoyed the Coco Cafe for coffee/tea and little pastries and the iguanas everywhere! We even saw raccoons and wild cats. The beach was beautiful and water so clear you could see a ton of fishes and even saw a sting ray. Overall, would definitely come back! Also, the Tulum airport was also very smooth.”

I was surprised by our room upgrade which included so many amenities including the A/C lounge that we visited every day as well as a secluded area of the beach.
