In recent years, the number of paddlers accessing public lands and waters has been meteoric. The EXPLORE Act addresses long overdue management challenges, and creates specific policy changes that will improve the ability of the paddling community to access high quality outdoor experiences.

Our membership consists of thousands of guides, outfitters, instructors, and clubs that will greatly benefit from changes that make it easier for paddlers, especially beginning paddlers, to access guided experiences that have the potential to turn people into life-long paddlers. Paddled the Missouri River from Haworth park in Bellevue to the Barttlet Iowa boat ramp. The 20 mile trip took us about 3 hours!

I paddled the Missouri River from Nebraska Tailwaters Campground (about .5 miles below Gavins Point Damn) to Ponca State park. The trip is about 53 miles and I stopped on Goat Island to camp at the halfway point. Wind was high, 15-20Mph SSE, but manageable for most of day one but got well above 20mph for some stretches. The waves were tough to battle through. The island was a great place to camp and day two was much calmer!

This week I was able to complete the https://mr340.org/ The race was an incredible challenge. The community around the race and all of the support and volunteer staff were incredible. I did not have a lot of time for photos but here are a few of my favorites.

I was recently able to paddle for 2 days on the dismal river. It was some of the most difficult paddling I have done. Lots of snags/strainers, barbed wire and fences, but it was absolutely stunning scenery. The only paddle trip I have been on where we did not encounter a single other person for the entire 2 days. This is definitely not a river to underestimate or attempt without proper safety precautions and planning.

Paddled little sandy creek into the little blue river yesterday, lots of sharp turns and downed trees but a very nice paddle.

Had some great weather to paddle the Platte River from Louisville to Plattsmouth with Janet Jizba this morning. The river is high and fast with lots of debris, make sure to paddle prepared.

This year I will be participating in the MR340, a 340-mile endurance Paddling event across the state of Missouri on the Missouri River.
