My name is Stephanie. Mom to Bennett & Elliott, wife to Chris, owner and travel advisor here at Hooray Travel Day. I’m also a runner of many carpools, lover of coffee and organizer of chaos.

I was fortunate enough to get to travel extensively growing up and some of my favorite memories are ones that were made on various vacations. Traveling brings me such joy and I love sharing that joy with others!

Exploring a new city can make for an incredible family trip. Here is why we think Chicago should be on your list to visit next as a family:
1. First, the obvious- there are kid friendly attractions abound. From Navy Pier to Lincoln Zoo, Millennium Park to Chicago Sports Museums the list of kid friendly attractions is long.
2. It's a little more manageable size wise compared to other large cities. Plus discovering the city as a family is easy on the budget, too: children under age 7 ride free on the L train and public buses, while those ages 7 to 11 pay a reduced fare.
3. It can be educational! If you want to visit during the school year you can go guilt free as the opportunity for your kiddos to learn through the Museum of Science and Industry, The Field Museum of Natural History or the Art Institute of Chicago (to name just a few) is an incredible experience as valuable as any classroom.
4. THE FOOD. Truth be told, food is always a top reason to visit a destination for Hooray Travel Day and Chicago is no different. From Chicago classics like deep dish pizza to fun themed restaurants like SafeHouse, Chicago’s super-secret, spy-themed restaurant, is packed with family fun, food, missions and even a “spycial” menu for junior spies, Chicago offers something for everyone- even picky kids!

Have you been to Bermuda before? Bermuda is not part of the Caribbean as most people think it to be, it's about 916 miles away from the Bahamas and is actually made up of seven main islands.

Because of its frequent strong storms it's known for shipwrecks. There are around 300 wrecks of ships have been found which dates back to the 1600s. When you go snorkeling, you often get to see the wrecks!

Another great reason to snorkel here is that the crystal clear waters surround Bermuda for up to 7 miles offshore. There is a lot of stunning coral to explore; it is even possible to see up to 100 feet towards the sea bed where the coral meets the Atlantic ocean!

🤫 Shhh... I'm going to tell you a secret. THE BEST snack venue at Walt Disney World isn't even listed on their website. Let me introduce to your the infamous Spring Roll Cart. This cart sits just outside of the entrance to Adventureland in Magic Kingdom and while not always available is usually around from about 11AM until 4/5PM (or when they sell out).
Will there be a line? Yep, but it's worth it. These are not your average Spring Rolls. Flavors can vary from time to time but most recently they have Cheeseburger Spring Rolls and Reuben Spring Rolls. Both are absolutely delicious, I can't even pick a favorite.
