Hook and Line has 140 different tequilas to try and the ones we sampled were so good. This was a great learning experience for our group. We will definitely be back for more tacos, house made churros with warm chocolate sauce and so much more!

You had us at lavender! This annual favorite from is back for a limited time! The sunny days and beautiful lavender haze of this tasty cider will make you want to stock the cooler! The light purple hued cider has earthy and floral notes and is made with local honey.
Our favorite place to buy Honey Lavender Cider is at Glacial Till’s Cider House but you can find it at several Omaha area grocery stores.

Their Prix Fixe menu offers soup or salad followed by your choice of entree - we had the salmon - and choice of desserts. The price is really great for the food quality you receive.
Also ordered the 10 oz sirloin with poblano au gratin potatoes and grilled asparagus. Our table ordered carrot cake, vanilla bean crème brûlée and the chocolate velvet cake. All were beautiful and delicious!
The service was impeccable, noise level was moderate but at a large table we could still hear each other talk.
Also impressive were the handcrafted cocktails like the Smoked Old Fashioned made with Angel’s Envy bourbon, smoked maple syrup, orange bitters and hickory smoke. The pineapple martini with Stoli vodka and triple sec was super refreshing.
This place is becoming more and more popular so recommend reservations.

The weekend is off to an amazing start!
First time trying Old Market and it was sooooo good! Soup is not my go to on a warm day but friends insisted it is the best in . I’ve tried many French Onion soups and today’s was definitely a top choice! Thick and creamy with just the right amount of spice! The salad was equally delicious!
Can’t wait to go back and try more like the gumbo, or blackened chicken pasta or Etouffee!

The 127th was held last night at Omaha’s where a crowd of nearly 1,750 celebrated families who have made an impact on Nebraska through community volunteerism and philanthropy.
What an incredible event! Congratulations to the Court of Honor inductees, the Most Honored citizens, and all the families who give selflessly of their time, talent and treasure to make Omaha and communities throughout Nebraska and western Iowa the best place to live!
Stumped for where to go for dinner? Have you tried Pacific Eating House in Sterling Ridge? Great for lunch and dinner, our favorites include the Hot Noods and the Oregon Duet.
The Hot Noods includes charred chicken, rice noodles, ginger, carrot, sweet peppers and peanut sauce.
The Oregon Duet is a delightful grilled cheese toasted to perfection using LeQuatier multi grain bread with pepper Jack, white cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. It also includes tomato-red pepper bisque which is great for dipping that sandwich into and a side of apple slaw. Yum!
Save room for dessert because that warm chocolate chip cookie is the best!
An Omaha original, does not disappoint! We tried the Buffalo Chicken and the Thai slices and both were mouth-watering delights with the right amount of heat.
Owner Brandon Ciciulla has been making pizzas for nearly 20 years and all recipes are his own original creations. Hawk’s has quite a large menu for a food truck so there is something for everyone’s pizza palate. We liked the thin, crispy crust and will definitely buy another slice. At $6 it is a win! 🙌🏻🍕

Glacial Till Cider House has a great tasting room or make that rooms. The place is spacious with lots of seating choices from high top tables with bar chairs to comfy couches that are great for sharing conversation and charcuterie or several other menu items.

It’s a beautiful day for locally brewed beer and wine on the patio at ! We enjoyed the Coconut Vanilla Beach Porter and the Pegasus Pilsner. Both really tasty! Even the dill cheese nuggets by are made in Nebraska!

Table Art 2022 was splendid! After a two year hiatus, the annual fundraiser for the hosted by the Omaha Symphony Guild was back in all its glory. was this year’s guest speaker and offered to sign his beautiful home accessories at .
While the event is only one day, we are posting this here because if you love like we do, this event should be added to your 2023 calendar.

Our family loves the annual Merry & Bright Show at . These photos were taken on December 26 and the show had to close early due to staff shortages. Sadly the Gardens will not reopen until January 8.

Lunch where the Mac & Cheese comes in three unique styles and you can build your own burger from a selection of four proteins. Crispy seasoned fries were perfect! Go give this place at some love this week. Your belly will thank you!
Once a year, for two weeks prior to Christmas, opens for a lunch allowing patrons a special dining opportunity. The menu does not disappoint!
We recommend the Artisan Meat & Cheese Plate and the Holiday Thyme cocktail made with Mahon Gin, Cherry Shrub, Thyme Syrup and Lemon for starters.
We selected the Morgan Ranch Cheeseburger with Gruyère, carmelized onion, Fresno mustard, pickles and potato rosti. The Fried Chicken Thigh with broccolin, potato salad, ossau iraty fondue and house hot sauce was equally good!
For dessert, the Crème Brûlée with vanilla bean custard and carmelized sugar is a winner!
Be sure to make reservations and if you can’t get a table this holiday season, put it in the list for next year!
Weekends were made for donuts! We finally made it to to check out their new space. The Reese’s is my new favorite with the Key Lime coming in at a close second right next to the Apple fritters as big as my head!
The “Jesus” pictured with the cinnamon swirl is their best seller and it too is delish!

The annual Holiday Poinsettia Show at continues through January 3, 2021. Those who go know it is one of Omaha’s best tributes to the holiday season. The magnificent 20-foot-tall poinsettia tree is a wonder to see! Be sure to reserve your tickets online as pre-registration is required for Covid-19 precautions for proper social distancing.

This morning we are with Rachel Evans, owner of the new located at 60th and Maple. It’s a great concept - supporting local artists and local non-profits while serving coffee to cocktails and hot chocolate for the kids.
A co****le charity tournament brought us to today. What a great place for German beer, food and friends!! We sampled the brat, house specialty salad, supreme pizza, Reuben pretzel (soooo good!) and the Buffalo Chicken nachos.
This place has tons of history. The building was originally designed by the same architect who designed the old Brandeis building in downtown Omaha. Rathskeller has been open for nearly two years and has a nice beer garden and interior seating space. Just a few blocks from the UNMC, you have to check this place out!
