11) We have been given the responsibility of continuing Jesus' preaching, teaching and healing work. Jesus' power over sickness is the same as his power over sin. His willingness to heal is the same as his willingness to forgive. He is the same yesterday and today and forever. God is now calling everyone everywhere to repent and He does that by means of those He is in the process of sanctifying. This is not a burdensome work. We are motivated by God's love. We are empowered by the holy spirit. We are backed by the full authority of God, as He has vested it in our Lord and Master. It is a great honor. It is true freedom.

10) Our obedience during our waiting includes being baptized. Water immersion is appropriate, being the same type of baptism Jesus himself underwent. Jesus' further direction is that those baptized be taught to obey everything he has commanded his own disciples. Jesus told his disciples to share bread and wine in remembrance of him, proclaiming his death until he comes. The wine was real wine and the bread was unleavened. We have the privilege, in the joy of the spirit, of sharing these same things today.

** "Praise the Lord." What does praising God mean? It means being grateful for all the wonderful things in the universe and for all the blessings in your life. So praise God by being grateful and humble. Praise of this kind has more power to vanquish evil than has mere resignation. The truly grateful and humble person, who is always praising God, is not tempted to do wrong. You will have a feeling of security because you know that fundamentally all is well. ----> I am amazed at the consistency and poignancy of the encouragement I get from AA-related resources (I'm not an AA member). It's something I've NEVER found in all my relationships with Judeo-Christian groups. The one that came closest was JWs between 1973 and 1980, when they disfellowshipped me.

Like the Anakim, they are also regarded as Rephaim, but the Moabites call them Emim. Now the Horites formerly lived in Seir, but the sons of Esau dispossessed them and destroyed them from before them and settled in their place, JUST AS ISRAEL WOULD DO to the land of their possession which Yahweh gave to them.) ** ~ Deuteronomy 2:9-12, emphasis mine

Yahweh used the Edomites and Moabites and Israelites to destroy the Nephilim.

Important and encouraging, I think, to note that the gnashing of teeth and becoming weak is the wicked's own choice in seeing the blessings of the righteous, NOT something Yahweh necessarily "does to" the wicked.

The wicked sees it ["it" being how Yahweh blesses the one who trusts and obeys Him] and is vexed.
He gnashes his teeth and becomes weak.
The desire of the wicked perishes. ~ Psalm 112:10
