It’s been just over a year since we opened The Bay Hideaway to visitors. It has been a retreat for couples and a place where families have reunited. We’re thankful to be able to share it with others when we can’t enjoy it ourselves. We decided to test it out from a guest’s perspective on this dreary winter day. So far, it’s a five star! 🤩

Well, Sally, thanks for keeping things exciting here at the Bay Hideaway. Minus losing a few things to the bay and having to replace a/c ductwork and insulation, the property will be good as new with some time behind a rake and some sunshine. Thankful!

We are in the very edge of the evacuation area. Winds are blowing from north...good for the bay hideaway, not good for our family and friends to the south. Our hearts and prayers go out to all in the path of the fires here and two counties to our west.

Social distanced exercise in the fresh air and sun- check! 8.5 trips down the dock and back = 1 mile. You'll hardly even realize you're exercising.

When we opened the 30A Bay Hideaway in December, a pandemic requiring people to stay at home is the last thing we expected! The Hideaway is just that, a place to “hide” from real life- the scary and hard stuff just seems to fade away while here. When this storm passes, we know many folks will need a place to escape to “reboot.” We look forward to hosting you again one day in the near future! In the meantime, stay safe and healthy. -The Boyles Family

Out of caution for our community and our guests, we have closed the 30A Bay Hideaway vacation rental site for the remainder of March. We are a small community and are already experiencing an impact from Covid-19. Let's all use this time to re-connect with our families in our homes and heed the recommendations of authorities. Sending positive vibes that this is short-lived, and we can all return to our normalcy very soon. Be safe!

We (parents) are struggling to get hammock time. The kids like relaxing by the bay just as much as we do!

Many families who stay with us have children. With the busyness of modern times it is very refreshing to spend time together as a family in the great outdoors, and we can't think of a better place than the bay. Exploring, relaxing, fishing, swimming, boating...so many opportunities to soak up the outdoors. Come stay and experience it for yourself!

When we can pull ourselves away from the bay, we enjoy biking in and around the neighborhoods of 30A. There are two adult and one children's bike stored at the hideaway if you're interested in exploring via two wheels!

Paddleboarding is a great way to explore Hogtown Bayou. It's also a neat way to see the bay life. Our favorite so far is watching the sting rays swim under the board! Bring your boards with you or there are several local shops that rent them.
