So far, we've visited 106/165 temples... and we're not slowing down anytime soon!

TEMPLE 108: Mesa, Arizona!!! 🌵 ☀️
Yesterday, we visited our first new (to us!) temple since February 2020. 😵
It was so neat to go to the Mesa Arizona Temple open house… especially since it’s only 20 minutes away from where we now live! We just moved to Gilbert, Arizona (really close to the temple) and so far we love it! Anyone else live in Arizona? 🙋🏼♀️
—
Thanks for sticking around — here’s to visiting new temples after over of year of that being impossible!
—
QOTD: Have you ever visited a temple open house? Of the 108 temples we’ve visited together, I think the only other open house we’ve been to together was Cedar City!

Happy conference Sunday! ❤️ just your semi-regular reminder that we’re still alive even though we haven’t been able to visit new temples recently 🙃 What’s been your favorite talk so far???

We got married 3 years ago today! 💍 these past three years have been filled with more love, adventure, temple visits, and happiness than either of us ever imagined! Thanks for being here to share some of it with us ❤️ (swipe to see some pretty bridals!)
—
PS: we’re alive! Might come as news to many of you, since it’s been AGES since we last posted 😅 our life pretty much turned upside down over the past couple of months. Like, we have a DOG now. We’ll show you & share more of a life update SOON! @ Salt Lake Temple

We’ve totally fallen in love with Copenhagen these past few days — especially the temple! This temple is super unique because it was renovated from an existing chapel. We loved visiting it! (Even If we did end up stuck outside in the cold for 10 minutes because we couldn’t figure out that we had to push the door to go inside of pull on it. 🤪) such a beautiful place!
—
Having been to Copenhagen now, we can officially say it’s a must-visit place! We’re stoked to come back here later this summer with our group (along with Rome & Paris, too!) we’ve still got room for a couple more people — come with!!!

A beautiful truth is that our happiness is at the center of God’s plan. Think about that, the most powerful and loving being in the universe cares about you. His sole purpose is all about your joy, progression, and wellbeing. Keeping this in mind makes it that much easier to seek him, follow his Son and keep his commandments.

NEW BLOG POST about our experience attending the Rome Italy Temple dedication! https://everyldstemple.com/rome-italy-temple-dedication/
SO late, I know. But I still remember it so vividly. We’ve visited a lot of temples, but that experience was a huge highlight. (Did you know we booked our tickets to Rome just one week before leaving? 😅)
—
Writing this post made me SO excited to take our temple trip group there this August! If you want to visit the Rome Italy Temple with us this summer, a few spots are still available! Visit www.everyldstemple.com/temple-trip (or feel free to message us!) to learn all about it.

The best thing about our goal to visit every temple in the world? The fact that we’re doing it together ❤️
—
Can’t imagine doing any of it with anyone else. Every single day, I’m grateful that we found each other.

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA TEMPLE ❤️
We had pretty much no expectations for visiting Brisbane... but after two days, Jacob said he wanted to move there. 🤷🏼♀️ we loved this tropical city! The temple was a typical small temple, but it had these huge beautiful grounds that were fun to explore. It was right on the side of the river, overlooking the city. And of course, once we went inside it totally felt like home — even though we’re far, far from home! 🌴
—
We’re grateful that we’ve been safe from the wildfires! But so much of Australia isn’t. Pray for Australia & consider donating if you can! ❤️ 🇦🇺

Jacob here. Happiest of birthdays to Emma!! Nothing makes me happier than watching this girl do so much good. A lot of what we try to do with this account comes from her ideas and work. She has a love for people and for the Temple that is contagious, and she’s regularly thinking about how she can spread that love. If you get the chance to be her friend, you are one lucky human. (Hint: it’s not that hard, she will befriend anyone.)
Do yourself a favor and wish her a happy birthday. (It’s almost over here in Indonesia, but probably just beginning wherever you are.) Love you Emma!!

We’ve been to over 100 temples after visiting the Kyiv Ukraine Temple yesterday! 🇺🇦🎉
—
Even in the dead of winter, visiting Ukraine has been such a joy! Everyone was so welcoming in the temple, even though we don’t speak Ukrainian or Russian. (Fun fact: Russian is the main operating language of the temple, since it’s the temple for NINE different countries where Russian is a common second language!) A member of the temple presidency even gave us a tour of the temple and had a temple worker translate.
—
Then, today, we went to church at a Ukrainian-speaking ward & happened to be there for the primary program. It’s been so neat to meet members from this part of the world & get to know this beautiful country! Have any of you visited this temple before?
—
(Pst... it’s Jacob’s birthday!!! He’s the BEST. Wish him a happy one!)

WE’VE BEEN TO 100 TEMPLES!!! 💯 🥳
Just over two years ago, we set the goal to visit every temple in the world together. Yesterday, we visited the Preston England Temple, our 100th temple! (Which also happens to be the closest temple to where we live now ☺️)
—
Being able to travel the world together & serve in so many houses of the Lord together has been such a blessing. When we first set this goal, we never dreamed we’d have already visited so many temples so quickly. But we’re not slowing down! This Friday we’re heading out on another big trip — keep an eye out for where we’re headed next! 😉

God is so aware of us.
The other evening, I was walking down the streets of Manchester when I noticed how inexplicably happy I felt. I just felt so content and at peace with life. Then, I felt so clearly that those feelings were a direct answer to prayer.
—
My morning prayers often aren’t as thoughtful as they should be, but I’ll usually ask my Heavenly Father to help me feel happy and grateful and all of those good feelings I want to feel. And in that moment as I was walking, I realized that God had heard that prayer and gifted me that moment of happiness. God’s already blessed me with so many things to be happy about already, but he still granted me that sweet moment on top of it all. Just because I’d asked for it and He loves me.
—
I’m so grateful for a kind God who loves us and wants good things for us. I know He always hears our prayers, including the sleepy morning ones that even we sometimes forget about.

The Stockholm Sweden temple became a new favorite! ❤️ Of course, after visiting 99 (!!!) temples, we have a lot of faves. People ask us which temple is our favorite all the time, and I feel like we always say something different 😂 but Rome, Manti, Boston, Sapporo, Gilbert, Tijuana, and Salt Lake all stand out as being especially memorable & beautiful! (We’ll share a few of those pics to our story so you can see what we mean 😍)
—
We loved visiting the temple & the city of Stockholm! 🇸🇪 We went to a session on a Friday afternoon & it was completely packed. There were so many people who spoke different languages there, including two groups who had traveled all the way from Latvia and Lithuania to attend the temple! And the temple grounds were absolutely gorgeous, with tall trees and magenta flowers that somehow survived the cold. There really isn’t another temple like it!

What’s the last temple you visited?

Temple 98: The Hague, Netherlands! 🇳🇱
We made a quick trip over to Holland to visit this beautiful temple. (And to eat some stroopwafels!) We don’t often go very long between temple visits, but this was our first time going to the temple in a couple of months and it was so good to go back. The temple always feels like home, even when it’s a temple we’ve never been to in a foreign country. ❤️
27/10/2019
Happy Sunday! ⭐️ we’ve been in Manchester for a little over a month now, and we just got callings in the ward! I’m a counselor in the primary presidency and Jacob’s the ward clerk 🤗 we’re excited to be more involved in the ward this year now that we’re a little more settled in one place! (though we’re already headed to 2 different countries later this week! 🤩 🇳🇱 🇸🇪)

What’s your calling? Or what’s been your favorite calling you’ve ever had?
13/10/2019
Just made plans to visit our 100th temple! 🤩 that was our goal for this year, and it looks like we’ll accomplish it 2 months early! ❤️ this week we’ll visit the Preston England Temple, then at the end of the month we’ll visit The Hague Netherlands Temple and then the Stockholm Sweden Temple. It’s been a minute since we visited a new temple, but now we’re back making big plans & we’re so excited :)
06/10/2019
Here’s how we feel about 8 NEW TEMPLES ANNOUNCED this weekend 🤩 Which are you most excited about?
Freetown Sierra Leone
Orem Utah
Port Moresby Papua New Guinea
Bentonville Arkansas
Bacolod Philippines
McAllen Texas
Cobán Guatemala
Taylorsville Utah
—
People sometimes ask us whether it’s discouraging to hear so many new temples getting announced knowing it makes our goal of visiting all of them harder — but honestly, it does the opposite! We LOVE seeing the work of the Lord move forward & knowing we’ll have a good reason to try & see all of those places one day :)

GENERAL CONFERENCE QUESTIONNAIRE: (comment your answers! 👇)
WHO are you watching with?
WHAT truths have stood out to you so far?
WHEN are you watching? (aka what time is it where you are, or when will you watch?)
WHERE are you watching?
WHY are you watching?
—
We’re watching it together at our apartment here in Manchester! The morning session was 5-7pm & afternoon will be 9-11pm. (Emma will go to the stake center tomorrow morning to watch women’s conference!) We’re watching to hear from inspired leaders about how we can grow closer to Jesus Christ. I loved Sister Michelle D. Craig’s message about our need to make intentional time & space each day to listen to our Heavenly Father’s voice.

YOUR TURN! 🤗
22/09/2019
Trust me — your future’s better than you can even imagine it being right now.
—
4 years ago (exactly, to the day!) I was absolutely loving my mission & about to go home the next day. I dreaded having to face real life again. I had no idea what the future held, but I thought it couldn’t be better than what I had.
—
3 years ago, I had just met Jacob & got back from an amazing study abroad. I felt really unsure about my future & what I should do with my life, but I was cautiously optimistic.
—
2 years ago, we had just gotten married. I thought there was no way life could possibly get any better than it was at that moment, even though Jacob & I were both at jobs we didn’t love & we didn’t feel like we had much direction.
—
1 year ago, we had just gotten back from living in China (& traveling throughout Asia) for 4 months. We also went on 2 extended road trips throughout the USA & spent nearly all our time together. We thought things couldn’t get any better, but figured that time had to be numbered.
—
Now, we’ve been to almost 100 temples in just 2 years. In the past year, we spent 2.5 months in Mexico, 2.5 months in Europe, traveled around the USA & Canada, and hosted an amazing Europe Temple Trip. And as of a week ago, we just packed up and moved to Manchester, England, for yet another adventure together.
—
I’m tempted to say we might not be able to top last year, but past experience has always proved that attitude wrong!
I’ve learned time and time again that God really does have our best interests at heart. He has amazing things in store for us. Life isn’t always easy, and it’s hard not knowing what things will be like down the road. But “be of good cheer. The future is as bright as your faith” (President Thomas S. Monson).

A Bit About Us
HI THERE! WE’RE JACOB AND EMMA ROBERTS.
We’re on a mission to visit every LDS temple in the world.
We met on BYU’s Global Business and Marketing Study Abroad back in the summer of 2016. While there, we traveled to 11 countries in six weeks and discovered a shared love for travel. Shortly after returning, we also discovered a shared love for each other and got married on July 1, 2017.
Since then, we’ve filled our lives with love, travel, hard work, and a lot of temple service. When we first got married, we set the goal to one day visit every temple in the world — figuring it would be a great way to help us to keep both temple attendance and travel major priorities in our life.
📷
We never dreamed we’d have already visited 95 temples after just two years of marriage, but we feel so grateful to have been able to do so. We’ve already seen the blessings of regular and very intentional temple attendance as a couple, and every temple we’ve visited has been uniquely beautiful yet familiar. In addition, regularly sharing our experiences has motivated us to more fully live the gospel in our everyday lives and connect with others doing the same.
📷
Visiting temples around the world has brought us so much joy and it has taught us so much. It’s inspired us to travel more, affording us experiences such as living in China teaching English for four months, traveling all over Asia, road-tripping to 43 states, and living in Mexico for nearly three months. Visiting temples has also strengthened our testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints by showing us how universal yet individual the gospel of Jesus Christ is.
