And this adorable yellow car? It's an old 500, an Italian symbol, parked in Via Margutta, a lovely street close to the Spanish Steps.

Walk between these columns is such a magical thing. You should experience it.

Do you recognize this place? It's in many movies. This is the church that you see from the Spanish steps.

Hydro What? Hydrochronometer. It's a watch moved by water. This one was exposed during the Paris Universal Exposition in 1867. Amazing, right?

The first shopping mall. Can you believe it? So, imagine people walking by, talking, stores... Oh! You must know the Trajan’s market.

Imagine that you are in the ancient times, arriving in Rome. Soldiers open the gate and let you get in the city. If you imagine this, it becomes more than just walk through, it becomes an experience.
There's a surprise along the way. These eleven columns belongs to the temple of Hadrian and stay on the way between Fontana di Trevi and Phanteon. It's just amazing.

Yes, we're still trying to restart from the last horrible months we passed through. The city still empty, but keep the beauty. You must enjoy Rome, safely, like we do.

My old friend, so good to have a coffee and share my thoughts with you. Would you like to share a dream with us?

At the entrance of the monument, there is the statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II with his horse. It doesn't seem so big, but to get an idea, the king's mustache, each one is 1 meter long and his horse is 12 meters large. The owner of the foundry where the pieces of the statue were modeled, to celebrate the finalization of the work, prepared a refreshment with his members and workers, more or less twenty people, seated inside the belly of the horse! So when you visit this incredible place, the moment you look at the statue, you will remember this fact.
So, if you arrive in Rome and confuse the Teatro di Marcello with the Colosseum, as many people do, there is a strong reason. You are not going crazy! Not only the fact that it was built in arcade and travertine marble. It even served as a model for the construction of the Colosseum and yet other theaters and amphitheatres. It’s all connected. But this part of the story, few know. Now you know it.
In the Piazza del Popolo, on the south side, you will see the twin churches. One is dedicated to Saint Mary ‘in Montesanto’ and the other to Santa Maria dei Miracoli. Almost impossible not to take a picture of them.
Piazza Trilussa is a meeting point for young people in the city, in the Trastevere district, in front of the Sisto bridge. A place full of history, but also to find friends, have a chat, make new friends. Around you will also find restaurants, bars and cafes. A place that changes atmosphere from morning to evening.
The Via Appia Antica is the queen of the routes. It was a road that connected ancient Rome to today's Brindisi, and then connected the empire to Greece and the East. You can still have the privilege of traveling and see places hidden by the majority of tourists. Who would say that there is still a Roman road in perfect condition, all to be explored?
So what about visiting another country without leaving Rome? Is it OK for you? So, we’ll take you to the Vatican. The least state in the world, both in territory and in population. You may not be able to visit everything, but the Piazza and the Church of San Pietro and even the Vatican museums, certainly.
Did you know that swimming in the Trevi Fountain is prohibited? If you want to imitate Anita Ekberg and Marcello Mastroianni, as in the film La dolce vita by Fellini, you risk a fine of up to 500 Euros. So it would be better to just throw the coins, right?
When you are inside the Altare della Patria, visit the terrace located at the height of the chariots. The panoramic elevators will take you there. The panoramic view is one of the Monument's greatest attractions. It is worth going there.
The Teatro di Marcello is also an architectural masterpiece. To understand this, it makes the Roman theaters stand out from the Greek ones, because the Greeks built their theaters on a hill, while the Romans built a flat place. It was not enough to build a theater, something else had to be done.
You will find a surprise at the Castle of Santo Angelo. There is a 800 meter fortified corridor built in 1277 that connects the castle to Vatican City, so that the Pope could escape if he was in danger. Magnificent, isn't it? And this corridor proved necessary, since in 1527 Pope Clement VII used the castle as a refuge during the sieges that occurred in the city.
Malls are not so modern as we think and Trajan’s Market is there to prove. Just some meters from the Colosseum, this ancient mall nowadays is a very interesting museum. What do you think to know how ancient romans used to go shopping? Well, not far from there, are many actual Stores.
The goddess Rome is a figure of Roman mythology who, since the second century BC, was the deity who personified the city of Rome and, more generally, the Roman state. The fountain located in the background of the Piazza del Campidoglio houses a statue that represents it. You can greet her and even take a couple of photos. She is very nice.
The Capitol is one of the seven hills on which Rome was founded and is also the seat of the municipality of Rome. When we are there in the Piazza del Campidoglio, we are sure that we are part of a page in history. I must also tell you that you will be inside a work by Michelangelo. He designed it.
Have you seen that you live history in every step?
When you walk along Corso Vittorio Emanuele II you will find, surprisingly, a square with the ruins of ancient Rome. Stop for a moment, it’s a wonderful place. Between 1926 and 1929, the construction of new buildings brought to light a paved square with the remains of four temples. On every street corner you breathe Art and History
Palatine Hill is one of the oldest parts of Rome. It is a large open-air museum that can be visited during the day. Imagine yourself walking into a history book, as if you had lived it. It almost seems that we entered a time machine and arrived there. In this photo we are in the remains of the imperial palaces of the Palatine, further down, the Circus Maximus.

The shape of the Colosseum is that of an ellipse and not a perfect circle, as some might imagine. Originally it was more than 48 meters high, which corresponds to a building with 12 to 15 floors. And it was so ingeniously designed that on sunny days, a retractable cover protected the audience. . #rome #roma #italy #italia #roma #italy #italia #rome #inromeitaly #romanhistory #romeitaly #romanimpeerium #romanempire #colosseum #colosseumrome
A legend says that for those who throw a coin from behind, they will certainly return to Rome. If you flip two coins you will find love, instead if you flip three, you will get married. How many coins will you flip? Remember: To flip the coin you have to stand on your back and flip it over your left shoulder. . #rome #roma #italy #italia #roma #italy #italia #rome #inromeitaly #romanhistory #romeitaly #trevifountain #trevifountainrome #romabarocca
The castle of Santo Angelo is a place full of mysteries. It is said that in 590 AD, Rome was hit by a plague epidemic. Does history repeat itself? Anyway, at that time Pope Gregory I had the vision of Archangel Saint Michael at the top of the castle, announcing the end of the pandemic. To commemorate the new times to come, as we are currently doing, a statue of the Archangel was placed on top of the castle. This is divine protection. . #rome #roma #italy #italia #roma #italy #italia #rome #inromeitaly #romanhistory #romeitaly #castellosantangelo
The Basilica Santa Maria in Aracoeli or St. Mary of the Altar of Heaven is one of the most enigmatic places in Rome. There’s a Legend that say it was built where Augustus saw Holy Mary, with a child on the arms and said “questa é l’ara del figlio di Dio” (this is the altar of the son of God). A holy place since the beginning. #rome #roma #italy #italia #roma #italy #italia #rome #inromeitaly #romanhistory #romeitaly #santamariainaracoeli #sunset #greatview
