Part of my commitment to help you plan your dream vacation is staying up to date on all that the parks have to offer. I just competed my certification for 2025 for all things Disney. 🥳🥳 Lots of exciting things going on around the parks, cruise line, and all the other things Sisney has to offer.

On mine and my husbands bucket list (when our kids are old enough to meet all the height requirements at Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure) is to take our kids in a few years when they are tall enough to ride all the things! Going through the training made me so excited for that future trip!

Worried about going to Disney while pregnant?

Worried that there won’t be anything at all that you can do?

Worrying that it will be a waste of money because you “Won’t be able to do anything”?

Never fear! Your travel agent helper friend is here! 🦸🏻‍♀️

As I was thinking about moving our trip up to March, I figured out the weeks and found that I would be 24 weeks pregnant when we go. What I love about Walt’s design for Disney is that he designed it with families in mind. It’s not just a park geared toward thrill seekers. It’s not just a park geared toward kids. It’s a park geared toward ALL! 🥳

I started jotting down a list yesterday of just a few of the MANY things you can do while pregnant at Disney. I knew there was a lot but there is so much more to do than I even realized. (Thank you, Walt and Roy!)

On every trip we have always been go, go, go! BUT there is so much to do if you just slow down and take time to enjoy every little aspect of the parks. I’m so excited for our upcoming trip that we can slow down and just be fully present with every aspect.

Here are just a few of the things I’ve jotted down so far. There are many, many more things than what I have listed.

My family is excited to announce that we are not only expanding our family but our Wand and Compass family as well!

You might be thinking “Congratulations!….. But how does this apply to being a travel agent?”

Well, I’m glad you asked!

In early October, a couple of weeks after getting home from our trip, I booked a big trip to Disney for mine and my husbands anniversary in June. We found out a few days later that I was pregnant and due the end of June so our big anniversary trip wouldn’t be taking place unless I wanted the possibly of giving birth in Orlando. 😆 I knew I was either going to have to cancel our trip or move it. Well, me having the love of Disney that I have and seeing as how my son is obsessed with Dinosaurs, the thought came over me that he just HAS to visit Dinoland before it all completely closes for good for the retheme of the land….. It’s just something he simply CANNOT miss. 😜 So, today I called and moved up our trip to March for my son’s 2nd birthday which will also be our Babymoon trip.

Using a travel agent makes moving dates or canceling your trip so much easier and less stressful! It’s one of the many perks of using an agent! I was the one who called and spent my time talking to Disney today to get everything changed. Yes I called for my own trip but if it was yours, I would be calling for you! You wouldn’t have to do a thing! Disney is so flexible and easy to work with (within reason) if something changes with your trip and you need to modify anything or cancel. I get to do all the work while you get to sit back and just enjoy figuring out what fun things you want to do and yummy food you want to try on your trip!

Afraid of heights? If so, you’ll want to read on.

At select Walt Disney World Resorts, there is the wonderful Skyliner method of transportation. The Skyliner travels between 4 resorts and also to Hollywood Studio and Epcot. Resorts on the Skyliner route DO NOT have busses to Hollywood Studios and Epcot unless the Skyliner is down.

Resorts on the Skyliner route are:
Pop Century
Art of Animation
Riviera
Caribbean Beach

If you are afraid of heights and taking the Skyliner, these resorts may not be the most ideal resort to stay at. Why? On your Epcot or Hollywood Studios days, you wouldn’t have an alternate way (that didn’t take up a large amount of time) to get to either of the parks unless paying for a private ride to the parks or taking your own car if you drove to Walt Disney World.

But! Never fear! There are LOTS of other Walt Disney World resorts that don’t have the Skyliner and that offer bus and/or monorail transportation. 🎉🎉

Walt Disney World Theme Parks

On Oct. 9, our theme parks and Disney Springs will be closed in phases beginning at 1 p.m.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will close at 1 p.m.
Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney Springs will close at 2 p.m.
It is likely the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, Oct. 10. We will consider opening Disney Springs Thursday late afternoon with limited offerings.
This includes the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom on Oct. 10. Event tickets will be refunded.
Disney Resort Hotel Closures

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will temporarily close beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9. They are likely to remain closed until Sunday, Oct. 13.
Transportation

Walt Disney World Transportation will stop operating Wednesday, Oct. 9 after Disney Springs and the Walt Disney World theme parks close.
Limited Minnie Van and Mears taxi service will be available to Walt Disney World Resort Guests.
Recreation

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Disney’s Blizzard Beach remains closed for planned refurbishment.
Reservations for Dining and Other Experiences

Effective immediately, we will not enforce cancellation policies until further notice for dining and other experiences.
Pre-paid bookable experiences will be automatically refunded within 7 to 10 business days.
Disney Resort and Room-Only Cancellation Policy for Reservations Booked Directly with Disney Destinations, LLC or The Walt Disney Travel Company:

Due to potential weather impacts to guest travel plans, change and cancellation fees imposed by Disney will be waived for check-in dates of Tuesday, 10/8 - Monday, 10/14.
Most room-only and vacation packages can be modified, or cancelled online, including changes to travel dates, without fees. Packages including air transportation or other services provided by third parties, or those with travel protection, cannot be modified or cancelled online. For Guests with these reservations, please call Disney Central for assistance.

Home with a sick boy today. Watching all the Disney movies and enjoying my iced coffee extra strong in one of my new cups. 🎉 I’ve been eyeing this one forever! My husband got a droid build for an early Christmas present and I got to pick out some stuff I had been wanting.

While I’m home with my son, does anyone have any specific questions that I could answer? Anything about food, rides, hotels, anything specific about my trip? I’m here and ready to answer all your questions! We genuinely had the BEST time and I can’t wait to tell you about it!

Also, I wish we lived close enough to ther parks where I could get this food right now! It is the Pirjanad Hot Chicken Tip Yip (Crispy Chicken glazed in a Spicy Chipotle Sauce and served with White Rice and a Relish of Sweet Corn, Shish*to Peppers, Jicama, Plantains, and Cilantro) at docking Bay 7 in Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios. I loved it so much I got it twice! 🤤🤤🤤🤤

Did you know that you can get personalized art at Disney Springs? 😍 We walked into the Art Corner today by accident looking for The Art of Disney store. I haven’t had need of the store up to this point so I had forgotten about it. My son has been OBSESSED with Toy Story lately and we’re doing a “Two Infinity and Beyond” 2nd birthday party so I just knew I had to get this. This is the PERFECT personalized souvenir. You tell them the name and the character(s) you want and wait for it to be down by one of the artists and come back to pick it up once you get the text that it’s ready. Prices may vary. 🙂  I am OBSESSED with it! 😍😍😍

In honor of checking in tomorrow I wanted to offer a “Free tip Friday”. 📢📢

I have heard of sooooooo many people losing their magic bands on rides and around the parks. Before our first trip just over 3 years ago, I found out about these little bands that you put on your magic bands and it helps secure them. You put it on and once you snap your band together, you slide the little band over both sides. If your magic band becomes unsnapped, your magic band is safe due to the band. There are bunches of them on Amazon. That’s where I got these. In preparation of checking in tomorrow and having the new Magicband+, I just fixed up our magic bands so they are ready to go! 🥳🥳
