On Tuesday we explored and did Browns Gap, Furnace Mountain trail, and Blackrock. A lovely 13 mile loop at the best time of the year. We always recommend our guests new to the area at least check out Blackrock, as it has some of the best views close to us in SNP.

Blackrock Summit is easily a favorite hike for guests on our trail and hiking guide. An easily accessible, very short hike (~1-mile round trip from parking lot) with some of the best views of Shenandoah National Park that are close to our home. And several trail options nearby to make a longer hike out of it. Pictures are from our recent sunset hike in April this year.
