Blackrock Summit is easily a favorite hike for guests on our trail and hiking guide. An easily accessible, very short hike (~1-mile round trip from parking lot) with some of the best views of Shenandoah National Park that are close to our home. And several trail options nearby to make a longer hike out of it. Pictures are from our recent sunset hike in April this year.

It’s our gotcha day! Four years ago, we closed on this property - a bit dated and in rough shape at the time, but it had lots of potential. This house actually sat on the market for over a year, and ultimately, we were able to get it under asking. Rare to see that these days. Looking back, Airbnb in the area was also not nearly as popular - not as many listings as we see today. And none we’d consider matching the modern/luxury style. We’ve been lucky to introduce Greenwood to so many awesome guests from all over, excited for many more guests and 🥂 to more responsible hosting!

On this day last year, became even more special. We were fortunate enough to have our small, intimate wedding ceremony at our home, followed by a dinner celebration at our favorite winery with friends and family. We love being able to call Greenwood home and, of course, share this special place with all of our guests!

"Thank you so much for letting us stay at your incredible mountain retreat. This was by far the best AirBnB experience we have ever had! You all took such great care to ensure that we all had a wonderful stay. From the incredible mountain views to the stunning kitchen, this place has everything you could ask for—it truly was the gold standard! The decor and amenities (Sonos speakers, Wi-Fi connected services, movies, pool table, hot tub, sauna, etc.) really set this place apart from all of the rest. It was very convenient to the local wineries and Charlottesville, as well as hiking and other outdoor activities. Relaxing in the hot tub overlooking the mountains or relaxing in one of the many cozy spots was a highlight. Fully stocked with everything you need and more. Close to Charlottesville and Crozet.
