cont....For the duration of their stay these students were a pleasure to deal with - courteous and polite and considerate of other guests in the hotel. Really top ambassadors to their school!

From the Rydges Hotel: "It was refreshing to see such a nicely mannered and well behaved group of teenager’s staying in the hotel. We accommodate a number of school groups during the year and typically deal with numerous problems and guest complaints about their behaviour. .

Snowing today... also, with your lift card, you can log onto www.nzski.com and it will tell you how many runs you did (it is very rough though, as not every lift had a card reader at the gates).

We received many positive comments from restaurants, hotels, airlines and the general public. It will take a lot for any future trip to live up to this years'! To all the students, you get out what you put in, and you all 'put in' this week. Enjoy the memories and the stories to be retold for years to come.

Thanks for everyone involved in the ski trip, it was a massive week after a nervous lead-up. The students were a credit to themselves and the College in the way they handled themselves at all venues, and especially how they all made the most of their time at the mountain.

All returned safe and sound, although we almost had a major issue at the Queenstown Airport with the Jetstar saying the plane was overweight and 13 kids may have to go via Auckland... the sorted it out (to everybody's relief) and all boarded. On the plane coming into Coolangatta, the students sang the College song to the applause of the other passengers! We then gave out a few awards and a last gift.

Reminder to all parents that the plane will be landing at Coolangatta at 11.25 am in the morning (as advised on the information night). Don't expect your son/daughter to be fully functioning for a few days as it has been a massive week!

Congratulations to Haydn, who was on the first lift of the season for the Remarkables!! He had pic taken for the local paper and received a commemorative T-Shirt (one of four) which I am sure he will treasure along with his other memories of the ski trip. One more day of on the mountain. :(
