Honestly, I've been more like this since our first Ignite Travel trip ended 2 weeks ago... 😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴

Day 7

After our amazing time with young artists we drove some of the Panorama Route on our way back to Johannesburg.

Unfortunately, the weather wasn't as cooperative so we didn't stop at God's Window as planned but Lisbon Falls and Mac Mac Falls didn't disappoint and lunch was still Divine even without the views.

We made it back to Johannesburg just after sunset to get our guest on her flight.

What an incredibly full week of wonderful wildlife. More photos and videos to come this week.

We will be going back next year for adults and offering a family trip between Christmas and New Year next year - come join us!!

Day 7

Our final day started in such an amazing and special way. We spent time creating art with and even got to see work. The students are using this time to improve their art skills and as an experience in entrepreneurship since you can buy their art and the money goes directly to each child. Art By Kay Rae brought art themed stickers for these budding artists and they were a hit. 😍

It was one of the highlights of our week. I can't wait to explore more ways to participate and support this community work here in South Africa in the future.

Day 6

We had a full final day in the Marloth Park area before our drive back to Joburg tomorrow.

We stopped in to see the local work at Komati Care Center (preschool for local children that is fee free) and Ingipuile.

Then we went for an evening safari and braai under the stars. We were so fortunate to see baby hyenas and their mothers (more pictures coming soon) and the food was fantastic.

Day 5

Started off with a bang when we visited Tswale Educational Elephant Interactions 😍😍 an ethical and local way to learn more about elephants and support Tswale's life of freedom. More info and photos from that experience to come.

We then went to have a braai (a South African BBQ) with local residents of Marloth Park, but we hit a little "girraffic jam" on the way!

We fed some zebras a snack and were closely observed by some warthogs.

After the braai we went looking for scorpions. We found one owl and one scorpion. You can see both in the black light pictures.

Finally, we did some star gazing - we saw Saturn and a shooting star despite the light cloud cover.

On the way home we hit another little "girraffic jam" until the security team from a nearby house moved our friend along.

Day 4

After our breakfast guests, we went on an amazing walking safari with our guide, Rick. He showed us all kinds of cool plants, described the animals in Marloth Park and their behaviors through scat and even tried to lure a scorpion out to meet us!

Then we went on a self-drive safari and managed to see all of the Big 5! Leopards, lions, buffalo, elephants (didn't grab any pictures of them today) and rhinos!

We also saw a different hyena mom with 2 pups (pictures of these by Art By Kay Rae ) and just as we were about to go through the gate two impala ran by being chased by a hyena (no pictures - just memories of that)!
