EBike Nomads Day Three, Umbria in Fall. Weather forecast was not promising as we woke in our agriturismo just below Assisi but we decided to head out for a bike ride and hope for the best. We were rewarded with not only beautiful weather but a spectacular ride through the hills east of the ancient city. Our loop took us from one country lane to gravel paths, constantly either climbing or flying downhill. Our final reward was re-entry into Assisi from the east, via the medieval fortress at the highest point of the city. Storms threatened around us, but the weather gods were kind on this day. The result was a great ride, a labyrinthine wandering through Assisi, and another excellent pizza. Ahhhh, just another day in Italy. 🇮🇹🍕🚴♀️
eBike Nomads Dolomites Trip Day Six — Santo Stefano to Strassen, Austria, with a stop in San Candido along the way. A great ride across another spectacular pass so close to the peaks of Tre Cime National Park that you could taste them. Paragliders soaring from the highest peaks seemed a fitting send-off as we watched the Dolomites fall away behind us. A great last day of a trip that we’ll never forget. #ebikenomads
EBike Nomads Dolomites Day Four — San Vigilio to Cortina d’Ampezzo. Grave ride across mountains of two national parks. Challenging ride, but some of the most dramatic, spectacular scenery anywhere. One of the best days ever on a bike.
eBike Nomads Day Two in the Dolomites. Two passes, both on mostly-forested paved lanes. Another day in paradise.
Day One, eBike Nomads trip through the Dolomites—Monguelfo to San Vito do Cadore. Crystal blue skies, cool in the morning, warm in the afternoon. A perfect day in paradise, riding smooth gravel and paved paths through mountain spires so close that it seemed you could reach out and touch them. Nothing can possibly compare.
