Another great volunteer organisation helping out our beautiful turtles and seabirds and snakes.

We stopped by the awesome team at Australian Seabird & Turtle Rescue in Ballina in northern NSW.

Australian Seabird & Turtle Rescue Inc. (ASTR) was formed in 1992 when the late Lance Ferris discovered that 35% of Ballina’s pelicans were injured by fishing tackle. He discovered that pelicans in other major estuaries throughout NSW were suffering from the same fate. Now a volunteer organisation, ASR operates branches along the NSW coastline, with volunteer members rescue and rehabilitate seabirds, shorebirds, sea turtles and sea snakes.

First stop..... meeting the cute guys and girls at the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital.
As a licensed wildlife rehabilitation facility, the Koala Hospital has been helping rescue and rehabilitate koalas since 1973. The facility is run by Koala Conservation Australia Limited, which is a not-for-profit organisation that includes approximately 200 volunteers dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating koalas and conserving and restoring their natural habitats.

volunteers are doing amazing job protecting the koala's.

Well November 1 is the start to regional travel reopening. And gowithemptyesky is what I want you to do.

I Want to wish all the local businesses welcoming back tourists to your business the best of luck.

And to all the travelers heading out and about just remember it is the same place and destinations but the rules have changed.

Remember the person poring your beer making your coffee or lunch /dinner is also adjusting to the new way of life. And has had it pretty hard over the last few months.

So when you head to your favourite place remember to stop think and be respectful and we all will enjoy being back and open for business. And have an awesome time for all.
