let me be real with you… the first time I got invited to dance in a Greek circle while in #kythiraisland I almost said no 😳 I was comfortable admiring them dance from afar but I didn’t plan on joining in. I felt out of place as I didn’t know the dance moves, plus I wasn’t “greek”, I thought. but then I decided to ignore that voice and jump in! 💃🏽 when you travel to another country with a c o m p l e t e l y different culture, of course you’re going to feel out place. the different customs & traditions can be intimidating AND that’s okay! if anything, that’s what makes things more exciting. it’s okay to make a ‘fool’ out of yourself while you try new things or dance moves in a foreign country 😜 i’m my case, my Greek neighbors were honored and thrilled that I joined them along in something so significant to them. had I said no, maybe that would of been a missed opportunity to connect further w/ the locals. all this to say, diving into a culture is one of the best things you can do when you travel. as a cultural travel advisor w/ @turtleyawesometravel I’m here to share my knowledge on how you can immerse yourself and #travelwithpurpose. im your girl to help you plan a trip that you’ll never forget ❤️ 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽 the question is, would you join in if you got invited to dance in a Greek circle? 💃🏽🇬🇷
