Quite the flight deal from Seattle to Maui, eh?

I found this deal through my favorite flight deal notification service -- Daily Drop (their Pro feature). No, I don't get any kickbacks for talking about them -- but I think they're the best in terms of being able to set your home airport and filters such as wanting to pay with miles or $$.

You may think of "accessible travel" for those of us with long-term problems, but the same goes for someone with a shorter-term injury. If you have a broken leg or broken ankle, never fear -- we can look into travel options while your mobility is limited. Bottom line, if you have a mobility issue of any duration, it never hurts to ask about your options!

In my earliest trips to Europe, I frequently traveled around by train. Sometimes, I'd use a stop as a planned layover -- get off of the train, store my luggage on-site, then return to my planned voyage after enjoying a few hours in a new location (Luxembourg, 2011 -- had a great three-hour visit!). These days, it's tougher to find luggage storage locations.

Enter Bounce -- a web portal where you can enter in date, location, and number of bags you need to store. It'll give you all of your options, including pricing!

Many of you know how much we love visiting Turkiye every year. Especially since we own an apartment in Istanbul, our stay becomes very affordable.

It's even more affordable using miles and points strategies to get there. I've noticed, though, that points are becoming less valuable: the same trip costs sometimes double the points I used last year to get there. Yikes!

One strategy I will try this year: repositioning flights. Going from Seattle to Istanbul can be spendy, so I'm going to look at NYC to Istanbul. I still have the Southwest Companion Pass until the end of this year, so Mr. Outta Here can fly to NYC for $5.60, while I can choose to use some of my Southwest points, or I can pay cash if the redemption is not good enough.
