The Essential Egypt February 2025 tour wrapped up yesterday, and I am so lucky to have spent 14 days with 9 wonderful guests, exploring Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel, and Alexandria, and spending 3 nights on a privately chartered yacht on the Nile.

I'm looking forward to a couple days of rest before leading a few smaller tours, and then my May 2025 Essential Egypt tour will be here before I know it!

Plus, recommendations for specific cities in Egypt, like Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and Alexandria. This is just a sightseeing-focused post -- I plan on working on a food post at some point, too!

Check out the sleeper train from Cairo to Luxor in my newest YouTube video! I'll show you what the train is like inside, and give you my recommendation on whether or not you should take this overnight train during your Egypt adventure (hint: for foreigners who have to pay high ticket costs, flying or bussing is a much better idea!).

People have been asking me for years to make a video at Egypt's New Capital, and I'm glad I waited, because I got to take the brand new Light Rail from Cairo all the way out to the new city the government is building in the middle of the desert!
