It’s that time of year once again! We are gearing up for the 2024 summer season!

Sitka Bike & Hike is the premier adventure tour company in Sitka, Alaska. We do it all, from biking and hiking to pub crawls and a food extravaganza.

Whether you are an experienced guide, looking for something fresh and new, or even searching for your very first job this is the company for you. Working at Sitka Bike & Hike will present you with many life skill improving opportunities as well as give you the chance to build lifelong friendships. You’ll also be able to work on speaking and presentation skills, get paid to explore, and just have a total blast with us all summer long.

Available positions include: biking and hiking guides, dive master and snorkeling guides, captain and deck hand, artists with painting and glass backgrounds, culinary guides, and pedal pub drivers.

We are so incredibly blessed and honored to have had this young man work for us from the time he was 14 through this past summer. We watched him grow into a strong, hardworking, and caring human. Today, we celebrate what would have been Darren’s 19th birthday. You are so missed, but will never be forgotten.

Winter is fast approaching in Sitka, temps are dropping, but our staff is hard at work. Some are taking their Captain’s course, others are hard at work creating glass pieces!

Today we had some beautiful weather here in Sitka! 5 adventurous guests joined us on a cross town bike trip that weaves in and out of the coast and mountain trails.

Today we had 10 brave souls that had a blast in the water. Snorkeling in Southeast Alaska is one of the coolest things to experience due to our great bio-density.

Yesterday we had such a awesome day! John and Sally came and joined in on their 5th glass tour at the Wild Arts Gallery & Glass Studio. We absolutely love that we have guests that keep coming back year after year!

Sunday we celebrated halfway day by having a meal with our team, including Sitka Tours (our awesome partner in crime) at Allen Marine Tours’ Finn Island Lodge for a awesome late lunch.

It was such an awesome afternoon to unwind and get us on pace for the rest of the season.

The past few weeks have flown by like a whirlwind so it was really nice to have a simple day with just a few excursions for us.

This morning a couple of our guides got to hang with this stellar group off the Celebrity Eclipse. The adventured through the fog and got to learn about the awesome Tongass Rainforest and even pick up some new photography tips!

This morning our mechanic squad did our mid-season bike inspection and tune up. This consists of thoroughly going through each bike in our fleet to make sure everything is in tip top shape.

It’s been a whirlwind of a day. We’ve taken guests out on 24 different excursions all over town and in the wilderness. From hiking and biking to tasting some of Sitka’s best food our guests across 5 ships have done it all.

We had a great bunch on our Food Lovers tour today off the Eurodam. They thoroughly enjoyed all that our vendors had to offer from the beer, the the reindeer, to the fresh seafood.

Reminiscing days of sun from a few weeks ago.

This rad group ventured into the waters of Sitka Sound on a dry suit snorkel adventure and saw some pretty cool marine life.

We survived our first big 4 ship day! 💪🏼 Our staff are complete rock stars and because of them we departed 20 tours from 3 different docks today off of the Eurodam, Quantum of the Seas, Norwegian Sun, and Regatta.

Yesterday we got to take a super small group up to the Herring Cove waterfall. It was a beautiful day for a hike with an awesome group of folks. We couldn’t have asked for better weather!

Today at the dock we got a show from a couple of whales. They slapped their tails about 10 times. It was so totally awesome, because even as locals we don’t see this often!

Today was a busy 2 ship day and not to mention a scorcher (at least for us Alaskans). But that didn’t stop this awesome group from coming into our working glass studio for a hands on experience.

Our guides Albert and Jed had a great group off the Silver Muse today for their bike & hike. It was a beautiful day in Sitka to share our awesome community with our many guests.
