Mardi Himal Trek is a newly opened trekking route in Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP). Trekking to the Mardi Himal Base Camp is also described as the journey if hidden gems.The trek goes through the miraculous rhododendron forest at the initial portion and eventually the setting turns on the rugged trail dominated by the hard rock formation. During the trek we can explore the majestic Mt.Machhapuchhare (6993m), Mt.Hiunchuli (6441m) and the group of Mt.Annapurna which includes Annapurna I (8092m), Annapurna II (7937m),Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna South (7219m).

मुलुकको पर्यटन उद्योगका लागि खुसीको खबर छ । बेलायतको ‘रफ गाइड्स’ ले तयार पारेको सन् २०१६ मा घुम्नैपर्ने उत्कृष्ट १० देशको सूचीमा नेपाल पहिलो स्थानमा आएको छ । लन्डनमा केन्द्रीय कार्यालय रहेको रफ गाइड्सले ३४ वर्षदेखि विश्वभरका पर्यटकका लागि भ्रमण ‘गाइड बुक’ तयार गर्दै आएको छ । यो पेन्गुइन ¥यान्डम हाउसको सहायक कम्पनी हो ।

रफ गाइड्सले तयार पारेको यो वर्ष (२०१६) को सूचीमा दक्षिण एसियाबाट नेपालबाहेक श्रीलंका पनि परेको छ । श्रीलंकाले उत्कृष्टको १०औं स्थान ओगटेको छ । त्यसैगरी दोस्रो स्थानमा कोलम्बिया, तेस्रोमा क्युबा, चौथो जोर्डन र पाँचौं स्थानमा अल्बानिया परेका छन् । त्यस्तै छैठौं स्थानमा रोमानिया, सातौं एल साल्भाडोर, आठौं वेल्स, नवौं केन्या र दसौंमा श्रीलंका परेको छ ।

‘लगातार गएको विनासकारी भूकम्प तथा पराकम्पपछि नेपालको पर्यटन उद्योग फेरि उदाएको छ,’ रफ गाइड्सले भ्रमण सूचीमा नेपालबारे लेखेको छ, ‘यद्यपि, हजारौं मान्छे घरबारबिहीन भए र दैनिक जीवन पूर्णरूपमा सामान्य अवस्थामा फर्किसकेको पनि छैन तर त्यहाँको ऐतिहासिक सम्पदास्थल विस्तारै पुनर्निर्माण हुँदैछन् ।’

त्यसैगरी पदयात्रा मार्गहरू पुनः खुला भइरहेको र नम्र तथा मृदुभाषी नेपाली विस्तारै सामान्य अवस्थामा फर्किन थालेको सूचीमा उल्लेख छ । पर्यटकले खर्च गर्ने डलर स्वतन्त्र होमस्टेमा मात्र नभई स्थानीय तहमै खर्च हुने र त्यसको लाभ सबैले पाउने नेपालका टुर तथा ट्राभल कम्पनीले आश्वास्त पार्दै आएको रफ गाइड्सको भनाइ छ ।

‘विश्वको सर्वोच्च शिखर सगरमाथादेखि बाघ, हात्ती र गैंडाको बासस्थान समथर तराईसम्मका विविध भौगोलिक परिदृश्यबाट पर्यटक नलोभिने प्रश्नै आउँदैन,’ सूचीमा छ, ‘त्यसकारण सन् २०१६ मा घुम्न जाँदै हुनुहुन्छ भने नेपाल तपाईंको पहिलो छनोट हुनैपर्छ ।’

‘नेपालको सांस्कृतिक परिदृश्यको भौतिक स्वरूप एक भए पनि प्रत्येक भेगको आफ्नै विशेषता छन्,’ रफ गाइड्सले प्रकासन गरेको ‘द रफ गाइड टु नेपाल’ का सहलेखक सफिक मेघजीले भनेका छन्, ‘नेपाल साँच्चै मनमोहक र चित्ताकर्षक पर्यटन गन्तव्य हो जसले संसारभरका लाखौं पर्यटकलाई आफूतिर आकर्षित गरिरहेको छ ।’
