You can find us in Hawkshead, Ambleside and Grasmere; the honeypot of the Lakes! Our cottages range from studio apartments to family-sized homes, offering traditional decor with all the conveniences of modern living.

Stumbled across this place in Elterwater the other day. Serving breakfast followed by a tapas style menu from midday Tuesday to Saturday….they even make their own spirits! is definitely worth a visit!

Our ground floor apartment in Ambleside. Prospect Cottage Studio has a fitted kitchen with all mod-cons, a squishy sofa, smart TV, underfloor heating and a king-size bed. It also has a private patio with fabulous views and a permit for the local car park. Come and see for yourself!

Our first floor apartment in Ambleside is a more spacious alternative to a hotel room. Prospect Cottage Loft has a fitted kitchen with all mod-cons, a squishy sofa, smart TV and antique king-size bed. It also has a private patio and a parking permit for the local car park! What’s not to love? 🛏️🚿🛋️🍽️🚗😊

So the weather hasn’t been great recently. Perked up a bit yesterday and tried to get up Helvellyn….the weather turned, so stayed down and enjoyed a saunter around Elterwater. When we do get the gaps in the weather, it’s the best place on earth!

I seem to be obsessed with eateries in Grasmere….but there are loads of fantastic independent ones and I’m all for that! Another jewel in the village a haven of homemade yummy-ness!
