Vallacar Transit, Inc. is deeply saddened by the accident that occurred during the morning of July 5, 2022 at Dumaguete Ceres Terminal, Calindagan, Dumaguete City. The company sympathizes with the injured and their families.

The driver has been serving the company for fifteen years and has no record of major accidents. Prior to the accident, the said driver was awarded with a “zero accident incentive”.

The Department of Justice has junked the criminal charges filed by abogado Sigfried A. Fortun against the matriarch and two children of the family that operates the largest bus company in the country, with investigating prosecutors declaring the complaints as based on “hearsay” and thus, inadmissible in evidence.

In a resolution released to the public recently, Senior Assistant State Prosecutor Philip L. de la Cruz denied the motion for reconsideration filed by Fortun that sought to reverse the Oct. 18, 2021 resolution dismissing the charges of perjury, falsification of public documents and qualified theft against Olivia V. Yanson, Leo Rey V. Yanson, Anita G. Chua, Ginnette Y. Dumancas, and several others in connection with the management of Rural Transit Mindanao Inc. (RTMI), Bachelor Express Inc. (BEI) and Mindanao Star Bus Transport Inc. (MSBTI).

Yanson Group CEO receives LTFRB award

THE top executive of the Yanson Group of Bus Companies, one of the largest transport conglomerates in the country, received the prestigious "Bagani sa Paglilingkod" 2022 award from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade led the presentation of the Transport Service Award to Leo Rey Yanson, president and CEO of the Yanson Group of Bus Companies, during the LTFRB's 35th founding anniversary on Friday, June 17.

MANILA, Philippines — The top executive of the Yanson Group of Bus Companies, one of the largest transport conglomerates in the country, has received the prestigious “Bagani sa Paglilingkod” 2022 award from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board.

Look: LTFRB X and RTMI-Yacapin and Bulua successfully signed contracts under the Service Contracting Program Phase III (General Appropriations Act 2022) earlier this morning, Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

Among those who were present at the said contract signing were RTMI-Yacapin Branch Manager John R. Del Castillo and our honorable Regional Director Aminoden D. G**o.

Following the signing of the contracts, RTMI-Yacapin and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB 10) officially relaunched and onboarded their twelve authorized PUB Units (with 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Malaybalay – Quezon Bukidnon ROUTE) at the Rural Transit of Mindanao Inc. Bulua Base, Cagayan de Oro National Highway, Butuan-Cagayan de Oro-Illigan Road, Kauswagan, Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City on the same day, with the assistance of the Project Implementation Unit (PIU).

(Because the BUS time/schedules for the Gross Service Contracting Program for HCW and APOR are subject to revision, they may be changed at any moment)

The Gross Service Contracting Program Nationwide for Healthcare Workers (HCW) and Authorized Person Outside Residence (APOR), as enrolled by its participating public utility vehicle operators, will operate on their authorized and existing routes with no fare collected from passengers during the peak hours of the day.
